GMOs, Pesticides & Herbicides: The Triad of Disaster

How many of us so involved in the GMO or Bio-toxin push-back know the industrial or political history of GMOs, or the birth, usage and proliferation of chemical or genetically engineered (GE) herbicides and pesticides? What was the motivation behind these mechanisms?

Let me make one shocking point to get the ball rolling …

Are you aware that pesticides evolved from the defense industry. The first modern synthetic chemical pesticides were derived from “NERVE GASES” developed by the Germans in World War II. These were designed to perpetrate massive destruction on the human physiology, up to and including death (the intended result). The pesticides used on our food were produced by making simple changes in the molecules in the original deadly formula, so that instead of having their greatest toxicity for human beings they could have their greatest toxicity for insects … or so we were told …

Who in their right mind would ever believe that any and all toxicity to human physiology (their paramount function) was gone from these chemicals. Not having their “greatest toxicity” to humans seems to imply a residual toxicity. Is it a coincidence that the steady decline of health in America and the steady rise of maladies such as cancer coincides with the birth of this pesticide industry?

Are you even aware of the most vulnerable areas of your body to absorption of these toxic chemicals …

So how safe are modern GMOs, Pesticides and Herbicides? Not what we are told by government regulatory agencies, proven over and over again to hold the interests of the pharmaceutical, chemical and biotech industries that own them, above the health of the public they are mandated to protect, but by what we see historically and via peer reviewed independent science.

What follows is a partial transcript from the video presented below stating the propaganda rich story-line being presented to the population, at the time, to justify the introduction and massive proliferation of these mechanisms:

In the harvest of 1999, 60% of Canada’s canola crop, 90% of Argentina’s soybean crop, 50% of the US’ soybean crop, and 33% of the US’ corn crop was genetically engineered. Industrial agriculture is damaging the basis for future production. We’ve got soil erosion, soil compaction, salinisation, water logging, destruction of beneficial biodiversity, loss of natural enemies of pest… and all that is occurring in an alarming rate.

Three things needed to come together to make the Green Revolution work. One was the development of specific high yield and often dwarf varieties of wheat, rice and corn that were derived by special outcrossing and hybridization techniques that Norman Borlaug perfected, working in Mexico and South-Western United States. Secondly there was a tremendous investment of funds from the Rockefeller foundation and the World Bank to assist poor countries to develop broader food base based on these resources. And third, there was tremendous availability, input and requirement for pesticides, fertilizers and irrigation which combined reinforced the value to a merchant commerce of supporting this type of agriculture.

The Ford and Rockefeller foundations in the ’50s were concerned that if the issue of hunger in the third world wasn’t addressed, than poor people in those countries would be ripe for communist subversion. The Green Revolution, which is really the introduction of chemical agriculture under forced circumstances, in India acted as an antidote to social change and reinforced the patterns of inequality. The smaller peasants lost their land because they couldn’t afford to keep up with the credit payments linked to the Green Revolution, the usage of water skyrocketed which left huge land regions basically desertified, the agricultural diversity has been wiped out, and yes the production of rice and wheat has increased but that was not an absolute increase in food.

Faced with a choice of crop failures and resulting worldwide starvation, the use of pesticide and herbicides seems inevitable.

85-90% of everything you buy to feed your family or loved ones is genetically modified (GMO), and known to promote sterility, cancer, kidney disease and a myriad of other maladies, the list being too lengthy to mention here.

But even our non-GMO food is saturated with Glyphosate, or the main active ingredient in Agent Orange (yes I said that), two of the most evil Genetically Engineered Bio-toxins ever developed and also known to cause all of the above mentioned maladies and many more including massive birth defects.

The problem is you are not made aware of what is and is not genetically modified, or sprayed with genetically engineered bio-toxins in the form of toxic herbicides or pesticides, because labeling is not required by our government (and if they have their way never will be).

There are thousands of highly respected scientists and researchers globally screaming at the top of their lungs “STOP GMO’s” for the sake of humanity and the biosphere. The great GMO experiment is a colossal failure by any scientific peer reviewed research … unless you consider the actual intention was and is to cull the herd. None of this is a guess, it is a peer reviewed fact that anyone can research from readily available information.
