Today my guest is not just another writer, but one I am pleased to call a friend. Jenna and I met on Facebook, but we had so much in common that we hit it right off. One of the things I love about the Indy community is the willingness to help each other out, and Jenna has been no exception. From bouncing ideas off her to working on projects together, we have become internet buddies and it was a pleasure to interview her.
Jenna also writes Christian romances, but hers are historical, and I have to say they are some of the few historical romances I have enjoyed. Her character Margaret, while irritating at times, comes to life in the pages, and you feel like you know her.
Jenna enjoys writing historical romances because she can describe the outfits and the estates, which she does extraordinarily. She even found a site that tells you when a word was created so that she makes sure to stay in the correct time period.
Like me, Jenna likes to write reality fiction. Her characters go through struggles and sometimes make poor choices, but Jenna stays true to the story.
The series begins in England with The English Proposal. Then Margaret journeys to France in The French Encounter. Finally, she ends up in America for The American Conquest. Jenna is currently working on the fourth book in the series, which will be released hopefully before the end of the year.
In addition, Jenna is in the First Street Church Kindle world and her novella will be releasing in November as well, and she and I have a special project going, but you’ll have to watch the show to find out about that.
