Often we think that stress and anxiety are one in the same, but there are some distinct differences. The best way to simplify the variance would be by using an example. Let’s look at having to meet a deadline for a project. From a the “stress” perspective, we would be experiencing certain thoughts, emotions, or physical response from the fear of the “what if?” of not meeting the project deadline or the “what if?” the outcome is not what we might expect. Whereas, anxiety is the thoughts, feelings, and physical symptoms in direct relation to all the “what if’s?” of the actual cause of the stress. Without deciphering the differences, it’s easy to misinterpret what is actually happening and how would cope and/or combat stress and anxiety. The two can also co-exist.

Guest Lora Cheadle is a Life Choreographer (TM) who has spent many years working with people from all walks of life. She spent 10 years in California and Colorado practicing insurance and corporate law with focus on compliance and defensive litigation. During this time as an attorney, she had first hand experience dealing with those in the thrust of stress and anxiety. She saw people, much like you and I, who at times experience exhaustion, confusion, and frustration. Lora has also been involved in several women’s business associations and has Co-Authored a book entitled, “The Rights and Responsibilities of Teenage Parents”.

There are many good intentioned, hard working people in our communities who start out with a goal of truly helping others, only to get discouraged over time when the help doesn’t amount to what they intended. Some continue working in their field of choice becoming puppets of a system or just end up mechanical in their work, others completely give up, but then… there are those who decide they must re-direct and try a new approach.

Lora Cheadle did just that. She became solution oriented. She made a decision to practice “her form” of “preventive law”- Life Choreography (TM). This endeavor allowed her to help others build happy and healthy lives on the front end, thus focusing on prevention. She went back to school, graduating with honors in Hypnosis Motivation, became certified as a Personal Trainer, Yoga and Group Exercise Instructor, and classically trained as a dancer for the Colorado Ballet and The National Academy of the Arts. She became a radio show host and now also teaches classes and workshops all over the United States. With this and much more on her repertoire, she wrote a book entitled, “FLAUNT”, an acronym for: Find your Fetish, Laugh out Loud, Accept Unconditionally, Navigate the Negative, and Trust in your Truth.

This show is filled with tips and techniques anyone can start using today to understand, address and cope with stress and anxiety. Most of us, regardless of where we are in the world or where we are in life, face stress and/or anxiety at some time in our lives. For us to really be happy, healthy, and successful in the lives we live, we need to have as many tools on our stress and anxiety coping skill tool belt to choreograph our way through it. While we may not be able to escape it, we can cope if we make the decision to persevere. Create your own dance through life and “FLAUNT” it!
