Tortured English: Divining The Truth In Political Doublespeak

Let me start by saying I single NO politician out, nor do I absolve ANY! If you can show me any politician who has not lied, masked the truth in doublespeak, or hidden the truth (even if only by omission), I will kiss you bare butt on Main Street at high noon … and let you sell tickets to the event.
Now, with that said …
The fact is all politicians lie (to some degree) as a matter of course, or as stated above, by simple omission, and a vast majority do so without hesitation or conscience, and most without thinking the long-term consequences or ramifications through.
Long-term is not germane to most (a vast majority) politicians mindset. What matters is the emotions or loyalties they extract from the crowd standing before them, or those seeing or listening to them via the media, right now. They are conditioned to elicit maximum and immediate response, regardless of, and in some cases, in spite of the efficacy of their spoken words.
The standard mindset of a politician is “what happens later or as a result of … can be dealt with later”, or as is the all too frequent scenario in American politics “kicking the can down the road”. Yet most continue to wonder why this country sinks ever quicker into a quagmire of utter chaos!
A Lie, is a Lie, is a Lie, and nothing can change that …
But if a lie is programmed strong enough via the mechanism of twisted speech or intentionally convoluted meaning … it enjoys a very long life masked as the truth … A masquerading lie that most Sheeple will share as the ….

We will know our program of disinformation is a success when all the American people believe is false.
It is by far the politician, elected or appointed, who is most responsible for the propagation of that disinformation or lie.

George Carlin was a funny man and an entertaining soul, but as he approached the twilight of his life he spoke out more often about the political quandary facing Americans. I truly don’t believe we gave him anywhere enough credit for intellect until long after he departed this troubled earth. Now those of us who push back against this corrupt political machine, those of us who so fondly remember him, look back on his witticisms with nostalgia and see in them the true wisdom he possessed.
