Watch Liberals Support the GOP Tax Plan… After Being Told It Came From Bernie Sanders

by Joseph A. Wulfsohn

We’ve seen this type of video before where a guy with a camera interviews people on the street to ask them questions just to turn the political tables on them at the end.

Well in this episode of “Ami On The Loose,” political satirist Ami Horowitz took to the streets in East Village, or as he refers to it as “liberal mecca,” to speak to liberals about the recently passed GOP tax plan.

But here’s the catch.

Horowitz decided to explain the GOP tax plan to Democrats… but told them it was being drafted as an alternative to the GOP tax plan by Sen.Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

The results were stunning.

Here were some of the talking points Horowitz pulled from the GOP tax plan that he said was drafted by Sanders.

If you’re making $50,000 or less, most families of four will not be paying any taxes at all.

Doubles the child tax credit from $1,000 to $2,000.

He’s lowering corporate taxes from 35% to 21%.

He keeps the Obama-era tax credits for clean energy.

Sanders’ “tax plan” received rave reviews.

One person called it “fantastic.” Another said it “seems like a good thing.” Someone else believed it was a “step in the right direction.”

“I love Bernie, I voted for him,” one Bernie supporter said. “It’s all just rational with Bernie! With [President] Trump, it’s not.”

But when Horowitz revealed that what he described was the GOP tax plan, his interviewees were floored.

“Well why aren’t they showcasing those aspects of it then?” one asked about Republicans.

“This will be the first time I will sit here and say, ‘Well, the Republicans might be doing something well,’” another person said.
