What’s Happening On Our College Campuses Will Make Your Blood Boil

The anti-life rhetoric has become so widespread in our culture today that the statements of those who do not value life are incomprehensible.
This ideology not only applies to innocent unborn babies, but also the elderly, sick, or infirm in the eyes of the liberals who spew their propaganda against the worth of human life.
We may be aware of the spread of this sick ideology, but have we really thought about how ingrained it has become in our culture, or what that means for future generations?
In early December, a shocking video was recorded in which a young college student from the University of Tennessee declared that he was not only pro-abortion, but also advocates infanticide of children up to two years old because he doesn’t think they can “understand or communicate.”
Life News reported:
During the video, the student also defends infanticide and says that there’s nothing wrong with killing newborn babies because they are not capable of taking care of themselves or holding an intellectual conversation. The twisted logic claims that because babies are not on the same level as someone old enough to feed and clothe themselves and to carry on a conversation that apparently their life is somehow less valuable.
“The fact of the matter is without communication, we have no way of knowing of you are sentient or not,” the unidentified student says in the video clip. “It’s no different than this tree. It’s alive, but is it sentient? I don’t know. I cannot communicate with it.”
Then he defends killing infants. “Can the two-year-old talk to me? In some instances, I’m fairly certain that [it] is,” the student said. “But generally speaking the child still has the inability to communicate. And until we determine that as such at what point does sentience become an issue. We can’t really debate whether or not that is the situation or not.”
That is the same contorted and twisted logic that abortion advocates use to defend abortion. Supposedly because unborn babies are something less than capable adult human beings their lives have no value. It is the same kind of logic that also persecutes the elderly and disabled and says that their lives have less value because they are supposedly less capable.
It is no coincidence the prominence of these ideas on campuses today relate to our youth becoming increasingly liberal. Many students hypocritically spout rhetoric that we should lovingly accept people who adopt alternative lifestyles, such as trans-genders, yet they advocate for killing innocents.
Experts have analyzed the rising tide of liberalism taking over our nation, and there are many factors at work. Our young generations are larger than ever, have more access to media and the influence of their peers, and have advocated for more government influence on social issues.
Whatever the reasons, the bottom line is clear – those of us who stand for the innocent and want to protect the unborn and all life must raise our voices and fight the culture of death that is spreading like wildfire.
Thankfully, there are young people on high school and college campuses, and forming groups online, to fight for life. The video in question was actually filmed by a pro-life student group to bring awareness to the shocking beliefs being touted on college campuses today.
As reported on conservative Todd Starnes’ website:
The head of the pro-life student group [on campus] was not surprised by the warped thinking.
“The idea that someone could support infanticide is incredibly disturbing. Yet, it reflects the kinds of attitudes our staff members and students can face on a daily basis on high school and college campuses,” Students for Life of America president Kristan Hawkins said. “Life is only valuable if I can talk to it?”
“When countries such as Iceland normalize the deliberate killing of babies with Down syndrome or states like California want to normalize abortion drugs on campuses, we should not be surprised when students display a wanton disregard for human life,” Hawkins said.
This is far from the first rant of liberal ideology on college campuses. Over the last few years, campuses have seen student riots break out over conservative speakers and protests over pro-life student groups posting their life-saving messages.
In 2015, the Washington Times reported on horrific comments posted by a Princeton University professor on his faculty page.
“Newborn human babies have no sense of their own existence over time. So killing a newborn baby is never equivalent to killing a person, that is, a being who wants to go on living. That doesn’t mean that it is not almost always a terrible thing to do. It is, but that is because most infants are loved and cherished by their parents, and to kill an infant is usually to do a great wrong to their parents.”
With authority figures spreading this type of propaganda through a school site, it is no wonder that students are influenced in the name of “opening their minds in the process of learning.” It is frightening that these comments mimic those of the Nazis and their disregard for human life during the Holocaust.
Todd Starnes also reported that an American University professor remarked that infants “do not possess in their own right a property that makes it wrong to kill them.”
These unspeakable comments shine a spotlight on the dangerous direction in which our society is turning, and how easily influenced our youth are by being constantly surrounded by this anti-life ideology in their educational environments.
Students for Life of America president Kristan Hawkins gives us something to think about in a comment on the video. What are we doing to prevent the spread of anti-life propaganda? What can we do to fight harder to protect the innocent?
“An unspeakable wickedness has infected many of our public university campuses. What kind of society are we to fund places that advocate for the slaughter of newborn babies? What kind of people have we become to turn a blind eye to such atrocities?”
These are indeed unspeakable atrocities, and we must show our children that all life has value and teach them to be leaders for the protection of innocent life.
