ER Editor: The country’s going mad.
We remind readers of some salient facts, which we’ve covered. Nord Stream 2 pipeline, that Angela Merkel pushed Putin to build, was up and ready to go LATE LAST YEAR. This would have supplied more than enough relatively cheap energy into Germany. But the globalist government hasn’t yet approved its use in order to ‘punish Russia’; this refusal was curiously made several months before Russia went into Ukraine in late February of this year. We’re pretty sure that members of the German govt won’t have restricted access to hot water and heating, just as their chauffeur-driven vehicles won’t have any problem with traffic-light shutdown, nor with very high energy bills covered by generous expense accounts that Joe Public pays for.

If you said just a few years ago that there would be energy rationing in Europe, people would probably laugh and call you some kind of conspiracy theorist. Though, the rationing is not because of climate goals, it is because of a reduction in Russian gas meaning that Germany is facing an energy shortage. But I’m sure the climate change fanatics are not unhappy about the situation. This is what they wanted.

Germany’s Largest Landlord To Restrict Heating At Night
Two days ago, Germany’s second-largest town of Hamburg told residents to prepare for hot-water rationing during certain times of the day due to “an acute gas shortage.”
Now, Germany’s largest landlord has warned tenants that when the heating season starts in autumn, they will only be able to turn their heat up to 17C (62.6F) between the hours of 11pm and 6am.

In a Thursday announcement, Vonovia said the move was intended to save energy and gas use during the current crisis. The company added that the change won’t affect daytime temperatures, and that access to hot water won’t be affected, meaning tenants can wash and shower as usual according to The Local.
Workers will modify the heating system during routine maintenance, and is expected to save around 8% on heating costs once the change comes into force.
Vonovia’s announcement comes after it emerged that a housing co-op in Saxony had taken drastic steps to minimise energy use in its buildings – including turning off the hot water for several hours a day.
The move means tenants of Dippoldiswalde Housing Cooperative can only take warm showers in the early mornings and late afternoons on the weekdays. The heating systems are also set to remain off until September. -The Local (ER: lower income people are always hit the hardest)
Meanwhile, Germany’s Federal Network Agency has been pushing for a change in the legal minimum temperatures for tenants – with president Klaus Müller telling the Rheinische Post last month that tenants should face pressure to reduce their energy usage ahead of winter.
“In tenancy law, there are specifications according to which the landlord must set the heating system so that a minimum temperature of between 20C and 22C is achieved,” he said, adding “The state could temporarily lower the specifications for landlords. We are discussing this with politicians.”
Right now the legal minimum temperature is currently 16-17C in the night, and 20-22C (68-71.6F) during the day.
With Germany scrambling to replenish its energy supply for the winter, Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) has set strict legal targets for gas storage facilities – with just 40% of the usual deliveries flowing through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline from Russia. (ER: Nord Stream 2 …)
If the situation continues to deteriorate, caps on energy usage or other measures – such as reducing temperatures in apartment complexes, may be ordered at the federal level.

Road accidents to stop Putin: Augsburg to switch off traffic lights
In its sanctions policy against Russia, EU leaders are increasingly overstepping boundaries – also against their own people.
One of the most active globalist trendsetters is once again the German State of Bavaria. CSU Prime Minister Söder already distinguished himself with particularly drastic measures during the Corona crisis. Citizens are now expected to accept questionable measures in the fight against Russian President Putin.
In the Bavarian city of Augsburg, for example, it has been calculated that energy costs are likely to rise by almost 80 percent in the current year. That is why everything that can be switched off, including traffic lights, will soon be switched off.
Mayor Eva Weber (CSU) explained: “The situation is serious.” Therefore, room temperatures in municipal offices are to be lowered in autumn and winter, and some buildings will be left completely cold through “effective room management”.
Water temperatures in swimming pools will be reduced. The façade lighting on historical buildings and museums will be switched off, and fountains will also be turned off. Street lighting will be dimmed. Switching off of traffic lights will also be considered.
The city and the police will be explaining which traffic lights are most relevant to safety – all others could be switched off without further ado. There are no longer any taboos when it comes to saving energy in the state.
The taboo, however, is to demand an end to the self-imposed energy shortage. This could be done quickly and easily: by ending sanctions against Russia and by opening the Nord Stream 2 Baltic Sea pipeline, which has long been completed.
Chancellor gets carried away
Chancellor Scholz has now let himself be carried away into making an extremely partisan (and possibly illegal) statement about the AfD (ER: Alternative fur Deutschland, erroneously labelled ‘far right’ like Marine Le Pen’s party in France). He called it the “party of Russia” during the government’s questioning in the Bundestag on Wednesday.
The chancellor was responding to a question from AfD MP Steffen Kotré, who had called sanctions against Russia “useless” and called for the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline between Russia and Germany to be put into operation. Scholz responded, “I stand fast: the AfD is not only a right-wing populist party, but also the party of Russia.” The party has repeatedly questioned the ruling coalition’s insistence on harming the country through sanctions.
But Scholz reiterated that Germany was preparing to do without Russian oil and gas and was also building the necessary infrastructure to do so. He added: “This is real energy security for Germany in the interest of all citizens.” Scholz’s argument does not sound too convincing in the face of the many hardships that ordinary Germans now have to struggle with.
In the past, the AfD had filed a lawsuit against similar statements by then Chancellor Angela Merkel before the Federal Constitutional Court (BVerfG) in Karlsruhe and won the case. As recently as June 15 this year, the BVerfG ruled that Angela Merkel was not allowed to comment on the outcome of the Thuringia state parliamentary election, in which FDP politician Kemmerich had been elected with votes from the AfD, among others, as “unforgivable” and a result that “must be reversed”.
That ministers are obliged to neutrality when they make public statements in their function as members of the government has been cast in stone by the BVerfG. Politicians must therefore remain neutral towards all parties as a matter of principle.
This also applies to a Federal Chancellor, the Federal Constitutional Court ruled. If the Federal Constitutional Court sticks to this assessment, Scholz should also expect a similar rebuke from Karlsruhe. (ER: These lawmakers know the law …)
