Kamala Harris Awkwardly Gushes About ‘Mr. President’ Amid Bitter White House Feud

Kamala Harris finally got the limelight she had been begging for. And at the moment of truth, she was introduced on the White House lawn as “Heather.”

Flanked by President Joe Biden and Heather Kurtenbach, a Seattle union official that was brought in to vouch for the Biden administration’s wasteful “infrastructure” bill.

“Please welcome Heather Kurtenbach,” the White House announcer said, apparently ignoring that Vice President Harris had already approached the podium to speak.

“In a moment,” Kamala Harris said with her trademark fake laugh.

But the vice president, who was recently exposed in a lengthy CNN piece as being involved in a bitter White House feud with the Bidens, was only getting warmed up on her phony remarks. Watch her gush awkwardly about “Mr. President” Joe Biden and his passage of the infrastructure bill.

“We would not be here today if it were not for your leadership, Mr. President,” she said. “From the very start, you welcomed Democrats, independents, and Republicans to meet with us in the Oval Office. You welcomed ideas. You welcomed debate. All in the service of getting this deal done.”

“Here is what I know to be true, Mr. President,” she added. “You are equal parts believer and builder, and because you are, we are all better off. On behalf of our nation, thank you, Mr. President.”

The vice president, after swallowing her pride and issuing the hollow praise, hugged it out with the glassy eyed president on the White House lawn.

The over-the-top performance was schmalzy and heavy handed, like everything Kamala Harris does. It was all about as convincing as Rosie O’Donnell’s S&M scene in Exit to Eden: awkward, unsightly, and embarrassing.

The political theater followed upon a CNN story on Sunday that was the culmination of months of reporting on independent media that there has been an ugly feud in the White House between the Bidens and Kamala Harris.

Let’s not forget why Kamala Harris was actually selected to be Joe Biden’s vice president: He needed to be able to point to a ‘black friend’ who could overlook his blatantly racist misstatements. A quick recap for those who may have forgotten: Biden said that “you ain’t black” if you don’t vote for him, “poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids,” and asking a black reporter after a question if he was a “junkie.” This was all during the 2020 campaign.

Kamala Harris actually kicked off the feud with the Bidens during a presidential primary debate where she (rightly) accused Joe Biden of being a racist for supporting segregation in the 1970s. Jill Biden chewed Harris out backstage after the embarrassing confrontation.

“With what he cares about, what he fights for, what he’s committed to, you get up there and call him a racist without basis? Go f*** yourself,” Jill Biden told Harris bluntly. (After the election, the two awkwardly ‘hugged it out’ as well.)

Kamala Harris then dropped out of the primaries after a disastrous campaign that had her polling in single digits. The New York Times even exposed Harris as being “an uneven campaigner who changes her message and tactics to little effect and has a staff torn into factions.”

“This is my third presidential campaign and I have never seen an organization treat its staff so poorly,” one aide revealed.

Harris nonetheless obviously harbors presidential ambitions, despite being even more unpopular than Joe Biden. There have been whispers that Democratic Party insiders are looking for a way to shove Harris off-stage ahead of 2024 to prevent a possible coronation and inevitable defeat. (There has even been chatter about the White House nominating Harris to the Supreme Court to get her out of the way.)

“According to a new poll commissioned by USA Today and carried out by Suffolk University, only 28 per cent of Americans approve of how Vice President Kamala Harris has performed in the position voters elected to her one year ago,” the Independent reported. “That’s a full 10 points lower than the approval rating for President Joe Biden, according to the same poll.”

The CNN article published on Sunday obviously emanated from Harris’s inner circle, and can be read both as a plea for more visibility, as well as a veiled threat against the Bidens.

The chronicle of grievances from the Harris camp range the spectrum: She is “sometimes forgotten,” “not being put in positions to lead,” and “the administration ought to be using her more.”

“Many in the vice president’s circle fume that she’s not being adequately prepared or positioned, and instead is being sidelined,” CNN said. “The vice president herself has told several confidants she feels constrained in what she’s able to do politically. And those around her remain wary of even hinting at future political ambitions, with Biden’s team highly attuned to signs of disloyalty, particularly from the vice president.”

The story then indirectly references the ongoing tensions between Harris and the Biden team.

“Few of the insiders who spoke with CNN think she’s being well-prepared for whichever role it will be,” the story goes on. “Harris is struggling with a rocky relationship with some parts of the White House, while long-time supporters feel abandoned and see no coherent public sense of what she’s done or been trying to do as vice president. Being the first woman, and first woman of color, in national elected office is historic but has also come with outsized scrutiny and no forgiveness for even small errors, as she’ll often point out.”

The CNN piece appears to make a cryptic warning that Biden may get the political ’86’ if it fails to yield to the Harris camp’s demands. (Lest anyone should forget, there were 25th amendment mentions prior to the 2020 ‘election’.)

“She’s a heartbeat away from the presidency now,” the piece adds. “She could be just a year away from launching a presidential campaign of her own, given doubts throughout the political world that Biden will actually go through with a reelection bid in 2024, something he’s pledged to do publicly and privately. Or she’ll be a critical validator in three years for a President trying to get the country to reelect him to serve until he’s 86.”

This may indeed be what this is all about: The 25th amendment is being dangled like a Sword of Damocles over Biden’s head to blackmail him into giving in to radical demands. Kamala Harris, who was the most radical senator during her stint in the Senate, is obviously playing hardball.

The White House event is a sign that her tactic worked: The two ‘frienemies’ stood side-by-side and delivered the news about the rare ‘win.’ Unfortunately for Kamala Harris, as with everything else in the Biden administration, they couldn’t even get that right.
