You’ve all heard about the soldier who throws himself on a grenade in order to save his comrades. A split second decision to sacrifice oneself for the greater good. A truly selfless act that if executed in a timely fashion will leave no more self.

Who can fathom the pain of bringing a child into the world? Who can fathom the pain of dying a violent death in order to keep that child in the world? Every mother who’s reading these words right now. That’s who!

A drunken madman walked into a home in Texas and shot five people. Four adults and one eight year old boy. Upon seeing the carnage not one, but two mothers in the room instantly threw their children on the floor and fell on top of them. Give me a moment.

I’m not going to try to analyze the shooter’s motive. That makes me so mad when the first thing I hear out of law enforcement is that they are looking for a motive. Here’s the motive: The people in the house asked the killer to please stop target practicing from his porch because the baby was trying to sleep that night. There’s you a motive. Now make sense out of it.

You can’t because there is none. And, of course the news called the weapon An AR-15 Style Rifle in politically correct terminology of the Woke contingent’s ongoing attack on the 2nd Amendment to make sure that we’re all at the mercy of the next maniac. But that’s not the point of this article.

Two ladies on the floor. Dead on top of their still living kids. Shot in the head. He took time to aim. They waited for the shot holding their breath and their babies. He shot everyone who couldn’t get out of the room. The natural human response. Duck and run. For the two ladies their was no time for that. Fall on the baby so he wouldn’t see the kids and would shoot them instead! So they waited as the pops came closer. Then the shot they never heard. Then darkness. The chance of seeing their children grow, marry, and hand them a grandchild gone for two ladies on the floor.

The culture of these two Texas ladies allowed for neighbors shooting guns from the porch. Most people would never consider doing such a thing as shooting up the house next door so why disarm them? Other neighbors told the news and police that the sound of gunshots was a common event. Just not at night while the babies are trying to sleep. I’ll give you a dollar to a doughnut that these girls couldn’t recite the 2nd Amendment to you because they were Hondurans and I’m reasonably sure their papers were not in order. The little eight year old boy may not have had papers either. What does it matter? He has wings now. He will never hand that grandchild to his mother.

I hope the killer does not commit suicide. They usually do. It’s almost as if after the demon has finished its work, it leaves, and the perpetrator, seeing the blood on his hands, saves the state a lot of money. But if he doesn’t I pray he stands trial and is sent to Cuero Prison in DeWitt County, Texas. Because of its location Cuero is stocked chock full of Latino gentlemen, both native and the imported variety, and trust me, damas y caballeros, they will know what to do! I hope they take their time doing it!
