AfD Leads Polling in 27 West German Districts

ER Editor: We had published this on Friday about AfD polling even higher in the former East Germany, which is hardly surprising given that the party originated in this region because of poor economics —

AfD party is once again achieving record results in eastern Germany

However, the report below is about western Germany —

Translation: All-time high for our #AfD in the #INSA: For the first time, we reach 25.5 percent at this polling institute. We are ready for more!

This was reported at the German site, Apollo News, a few days ago (browsers will translate) —

New high: AfD gets 25.5 percent at Insa

In the latest survey by the opinion research institute Insa on behalf of Bild, the AfD reached a new high. The party achieved 25.5 percent and is therefore on a par with the Union, which maintains its value from the previous week. Such numbers have never been achieved at Insa before, and the opinion research institute conducts two surveys a week.

So a fully Conservative voice represents just over 50% of the German population.

AfD Leads Polls in 27 Western German Districts

The party has surged particularly in the town of Ludwigshafen (below Frankfurt), where its mayoral candidate was recently barred from participating in the race.

The party is especially strong in Ludwigshafen, where its mayoral candidate Joachim Paul was recently barred from the race. AfD is also ahead by over three percentage points in Gelsenkirchen (near Essen) and Duisburg II (west of Essen), where Green Party co-leader Felix Banaszak recently polled below 7%.

In Saarland (a region bordering Luxembourg and France), the AfD could win three of four constituencies, exceeding the “second vote coverage” cap introduced by the traffic light coalition. Only two direct mandates from the state would likely be seated in the Bundestag.

Other close races include Mannheim, Pforzheim, Heilbronn, and rural areas like Zollernalb / Sigmaringen and Rottweil/Tuttlingen, where the AfD scored 27.5% of first votes in February—its best result in the former West Germany. Northern Hesse is also trending strongly toward the party.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
