Shooter still at large in Charlie Kirk shooting: Update via Just the News

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was shot on Wednesday at an event in Utah and has been confirmed dead at the age of 31.
Multiple sources confirmed his passing to Just the News.
President Donald Trump also confirmed Kirk’s death in a post on Truth Social.
“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,” Trump wrote. “No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”
Kirk was speaking at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
Despite an initial statement from the school confirming that the suspect was in custody, the person initially arrested was apparently not the shooter, who remains at large, CNN reported.

Video footage showed Kirk speaking under a tent to a large crowd outdoors before being blown out off his stool.
Kirk has been one of the most influential voices on the right in recent years, notably founding Turning Point USA chapters at universities across the country and hosting speakers’ summits for young conservatives.

By the minute, new reports are emerging, including Newsweek’s:
- Kirk was reportedly shot near the neck while seated during a live Q&A session.
