German conservatives join ‘far-right’ crackdown on civil society

ER Editor: So Merz has walked back his support for tough immigration policy that he originally promised, right? And after making moves toward breaking the cordon sanitaire with the AfD, he walked that back, right? So he’s probably about to form a coalition with the SPD, annoying millions of voters who wanted the AfD, or at least a very conservative CDU.

So what gives? Here he is calling for a type of USAID-investigation into the corruption of the NGOs. There is total inconsistency here.

We invite readers to turn this Politico article on its head, reading it as ‘Germany is following Hungary and Slovakia in calling for an investigation into funding of the deep state NGOs’. (insert smiley face icon)

We hope the EU Parliament doubles down on this accountability effort, which is already underway to some extent.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
