Nuclear Weapons & The Steadily Increasing Drums Of War

It has been many years since the so called Cold War ended. This was a time in global history when the world’s population hung on the precipice of Nuclear annihilation with the two great nuclear superpowers both wielding enough mega-tonnage to destroy all life on this planet many times over. With the collapse of the old USSR this possibility or probability faded quickly from our consciousness.

Now it would seem that once again there are those within the US power structure who feel a limited regional nuclear first strike (Ukraine to Russia), is not only possible but viable. We are also seeing nuclear regional powers preparing to cross swords. Yet we look at the damage to this planet and its biosphere being facilitated by one mechanism of disaster, Fukushima, and we see major health implications and massive aquatic die offs underway.

Now imagine the fallout from even a limited Nuclear strike of the magnitude required to incapacitate a nation such as Russia or China, that being enough warheads to decapitate the retaliatory capability of either or both of these nations. This would require strikes across both nations and many of them …. Say goodbye to humanity.

The sheer arrogance of these individuals amazes and astounds any rational person. The massive volume of peer reviewed research available on this topic is mind boggling. The result of sitting on the precipice of destruction for several generations facilitated a mountain of information on the subject and none of it was promising for humanity, thus the phrase Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) was coined and it became common knowledge that humanity as we know it, could not survive even a so-called limited preemptive strike.

Whether it is preemptive (to negate a potential enemies capability to strike first) to prevent a sneak attack, or subversive (to rob a nation or nations of their economic or regional influence) to assert or reassert political, economic or military control, it is all of humanity that will surely suffer the fatality of this insanity.

The mere thought that this is once again being considered a viable option in any scenario screams volumes as to the convoluted mindset of those who pull the strings of power in the western world today. The bottom line must be that we are no longer discussing whether or not we will leave a better world for our children … we are now discussing if we will leave ANY world for our children !!!

Why the Pledge of Allegiance Has No Place in America, and Why this “Slavish Ritual of Devotion to the State” Has No Place in a Free Society

Before I begin, I’d like to give our international readers a brief explanation: The Pledge of Allegiance is recited by school children across America at the start of start of each day. It’s also incorporated into many meetings held by federal, state and local governments and private groups as well.

Standing and facing the US Military War flag with right hand over the heart, one recites: “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

Many who consider the pledge a cornerstone of conservative values will be surprised to learn it was written by a Christian Socialist named Francis Bellamy, who was run out of his pulpit at a Boston church for preaching against capitalism and calling Christ a socialist.

His cousin, Edward Bellamy, wrote a popular novel, Looking Backward, which describes a future in which government controls the means of production and where men are conscripted into the country’s “industrial army”, and compelled to work in roles assigned to them by central planners.

While working for The Youth’s Companion, a children’s magazine, Bellamy wrote the Pledge of Allegiance in 1892, timed to be introduced in patriotic celebrations coinciding with the 400th anniversary of the arrival of Christopher Columbus.

Given his socialist beliefs, Bellamy was well-suited for creating a loyalty oath that conditions Americans to subordinate themselves to a powerful central government. Make no mistake—in pledging allegiance “to the flag that represents a supremacist government,” Americans are doing just that.

Central to that spirit are the notions that government should be a servant and not a master, and the Pledge is simply at odds with the form of government the founders created.

Free people have no business pledging loyalty to any government. It’s government that has a duty of loyalty to the people, and the protection of the rights of individuals. Once you begin recognizing the pledge as the authoritarian loyalty oath that it is, you’ll soon develop disdain for its nearly every phrase.

50 States, Infinitely Divisible

Two elements of the pledge that are especially destructive to the mindset regarding the relationship between the American people and government are: “One nation” and “indivisible.”

First, in creating the United States of America, the founders were not forming a single nation. The U.S. Constitution is a compact of independent states, with the word “states” taking its highest political meaning that puts Virginia, for example, on par with Italy or Germany (as state, nation, and country are all synonymous).

That compact delegated certain limited powers to a federal government so it could perform stated functions in service to the separate sovereign states. As James Madison wrote, “The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the state governments are numerous and indefinite.”

Fifty different sovereign nations exercising numerous and indefinite powers, without regard to the federal government and, whenever necessary, in outright defiance of it. That’s the United States of America.

With each “one nation” incantation, however, American children and adults are conditioned and indoctrinated to view their states as insignificant political subdivisions, while embracing the primacy of the federal government and the centralization of power in the District of Columbia.

However, of the pledge’s 31 words, “indivisible” should give greatest offense to American patriots. The very existence of the United States—created by secession from Great Britain—is a testament to political divisibility as a foundational human right.

The Declaration of Independence explicitly expresses that sentiment:

Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed—that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.”

By reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and proclaiming the United States of America “indivisible,” Americans disclaim their human right of self-determination. They also surrender their ultimate means of holding government accountable: Every government should exist under perpetual threat of disintegration by the people who have every right to do so.

The Pledge of Allegiance will likely continue warping Americans’ thoughts about the relationship between citizens and government for many years to come, and as I scour the pledge for positives, I can appreciate the fact that Bellamy rightly referred to the government as a republic and not a democracy—an important yet underappreciated distinction.

However, most Americans are completely unaware that we haven’t had a true republic since the international war of Northern aggression from 1861-65 when Congress and President Lincoln committed no less than 15 violations of the Constitution, and gave the newly created national government total supremacy over all persons and things.

US Patriots and the Constitution

In recent years, American patriots have come under intense scrutiny. On the one hand, political correctness and progressive ideologies have taken root, while on the other, questions are growing about the significance of traditional values and the relevance of the U.S. Constitution. Even from the highest of governmental offices, the venerated document is being dissected in ways never before seen, posing a deep threat to the core of America’s foundation. US Patriots have long been the defenders of our rights enshrined in the Constitution, yet they are facing an uphill battle to protect this document from the harms it currently faces

Congress has been passing law after law without much regard to constitutional limits, thereby infringing on the rights of US citizens. Elected officials are too often deciding legislation based on political philosophies rather than the Constitution’s terms and conditions. The resulting laws can be oppressive and hurt US citizens without true cause. Additionally, judicial activism of liberal Supreme Court justices has ushered in a wave of unconstitutional unelected decisions void of popular support.

Over the past few decades, it has become increasingly popular to critique and reinterpret the Constitution in ways that many patriots see as undermining the spirit of the document. This past summer, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg referred to the Constitution as “a living document.” Questions arise as to just how one defines the “living” aspect of America’s charter of government and law. Additional indicators of cultural repositionment can be seen in the fact that no sitting Supreme Court justice for the first time is directly descended from the men who wrote the document.

Additionally, patriots are also concerned with the erosion of the U.S. Constitution’s Chinook Article, which was meant to protect the rights of the citizens from the exaltation of executive power. This was seen especially during the Trump administration when an executive order was issued placing a travel ban on individuals from seven predominantly Muslim countries. This, to a great extent, undermined the original intent of our Founding Fathers.

In its current form, the U.S Constitution has been called a “coherent document” reflecting a “stable and inherited system of justice and representative government”. This system is the basis of our continued commitment to democracy and fundamentally the reason America is such a great country. With government and judicial officials redefining the meaning of the Constitution, patriots are left wondering just how much further this trend will go, potentially challenging the very foundations of the United States.

Second amendment rights, which many people point to as the most treasured Constitutional right, are currently up for debate. The liberal-minded, looking to add new restrictions to the types of guns that can be owned, have tried to restrict gun ownership severely. This has resulted in a real pocketbook for many American citizens who feel unable to properly defend themselves or families. Nobody should be expected to live in fear of ‘gun violence’, but at the same time, patriots are fully aware of the fact that the Second Amendment is enshrined in the Constitution in order to give Americans an essential defense against the tyrannical government.

Finally, the threat of governmental interference through the deployment of cyber-attacks, fake news, and other strategies has resulted in a population that is being misled by pernipernicious and hostile actors and thereby undermined from within. To combat this problem, patriots call for stricter action against malign influences, better implementation of laws, and stronger oversight over government officials. These are all actions that can be taken to protect the Constitution and the rights of American citizens.

The preservation of the U.S. Constitution is paramount to the safety and security of American patriots. In order to honor the Founders’ original vision and the intent of the Constitution, it is necessary to defend the document from those who try to rewrite it. Even minor infringements upon our foundational laws can cause massive harm to future generations. It is imperative, therefore, that patriots stand up and proactively protect the foundational principles of the United States of America.
