Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., on Monday quipped that President Donald Trump flipped his position on releasing the Epstein files because public support was with him on the issue.

Massie spearheaded a discharge petition that secured enough signatures to force a House vote on releasing the files. The measure is expected to pass the lower chamber. Trump, for his part, has insisted that the Epstein matter was a Democratic hoax, though he previously campaigned on releasing the files. Trump told Republicans to vote to release them on Monday.

“He got tired of me winning,” Massie quipped on Monday, according to Politico.

Trump, on Sunday, called for Republicans to vote to release the files, indicating that he was ambivalent about the matter.

“As I said on Friday night aboard Air Force One to the Fake News Media, House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party, including our recent Victory on the Democrat ‘Shutdown,'” Trump posted on Truth Social.

“The Department of Justice has already turned over tens of thousands of pages to the Public on ‘Epstein,’ are looking at various Democrat operatives (Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, Larry Summers, etc.) and their relationship to Epstein, and the House Oversight Committee can have whatever they are legally entitled to, I DON’T CARE!” he insisted. “All I do care about is that Republicans get BACK ON POINT, which is the Economy, “Affordability” (where we are winning BIG!)”

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
