Brutal Attack by Asylum Seeker on French Toddlers

ER Editor: This Sky News report gives information on how the Syrian man who stabbed several children had recently been denied asylum in France, already having had refugee status in Sweden for the past 10 years, along with a Swedish wife and child. Four very young children were stabbed in a children’s play park in the French town of Annecy along with a couple of adults, some of the children in critical condition. The Syrian migrant had also applied for asylum in Switzerland and Italy.

This puts us in mind of a particularly brutal murder of a 12 year old Paris girl in October last year, also by someone or several people with a dubious immigration background, who probably should have been deported. See —

ALERT – A man armed with a knife stabs several children in Annecy

Knife attack near a children’s park in Annecy. Several children and one adult injured. The assailant was quickly arrested.

This Thursday morning, around 9:45 a.m., a man armed with a knife attacked a group of five children of about three years old and an adult on the large green esplanade of Pâquier, near Lake Annecy in Haute-Savoie. Among the injured, three people are in critical condition. According to AFP, seven people were injured and three were seriously hurt. The alleged attacker was quickly arrested by the police.

According to a Syrian identity card found on him, the 32-year-old man is unknown to police and intelligence files and is an asylum seeker. The prefecture of Haute-Savoie asks to avoid the sectors of the garden of Europe and the Pâquier.

“We saw a person attacking children in games, small ones, obviously that was his target. After people tried to scare him, he walked away and the police intervened. He spoke English. At first, we all thought it was staged, but with the cries of people, we realize that it’s reality, the guy was confused,  “said a witness to the scene at France Bleu Pays. of Savoy .

A witness filmed the man stabbing, including on a stroller. When he attempted to escape, he held an object that appeared to be a cross around his neck while shouting “In the name of Jesus Christ” in English.

Anthony Le Tallec, the ex-footballer passed by Le Havre AC, FC Liverpool and FC Annecy, attended the scene. He shared this on his social media:

‘I was running by the lake and suddenly I see dozens of people running in the opposite direction from me. I wonder what’s going on. A mom tells me ‘run run someone is stabbing everyone, he stabbed children’. I’m a little surprised, I continue. The guy comes in front of me, the cops are behind him but can’t catch him , he said in stories on Instagram .  He comes towards me so I step aside a little and he goes straight for grandpas and grandmas. He stabs the grandpa once, the cops behind can’t catch him and I tell them but ‘shoot him, kill him, he’s stabbing everyone’.’

After the knife attack against the children, the National Assembly observed a minute of silence.
