Donald Trump drops new Biden nickname in New Hampshire speech

Trump declared the “Crooked Joe” Moniker Was More Appropriate than “hidin’ Biden”

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday debuted a new nickname for President Joe Biden during a campaign speech.

“I am going to retire the name ‘crooked’ [from Hillary Clinton] so that we can use the name for Joe Biden,” he declared. Trump declared that the “Crooked Joe” moniker was appropriate for Biden, who has long faced scrutiny for alleged corruption in the first family’s business dealings.

Trump suggested he would rebrand the former secretary of state as “Lovely Hillary” or “Beautiful Hillary” and that she would likely celebrate the end of the nickname.

During the 2020 presidential campaign, Trump dubbed the current president “hidin’ Biden” in reference to his opponent’s penchant for avoiding high-profile campaign appearances.

He made the remarks during a speech in New Hampshire, the venue for the first Republican primary election and the second contest in the nominating process after the Iowa Caucuses.

Trump won the New Hampshire primary in 2016 after narrowly losing the Iowa Caucus to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. He went on to claim victory in South Carolina, the GOP primary, and eventually the general election.

The former president has long branded his political opponents with humorous nicknames. During the 2016 primary contest, he referred to Cruz as “Lyin’ Ted” while calling Florida GOP Sen. Marco Rubio “Lil’ Marco.” Former Ohio GOP Gov. John Kasich received the moniker “one-in-thirty-eight Kasich” in reference to his dismal performance in the primaries.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
