Former President Trump makes first public comments since leaving office

He indicates that he will be making some sort of comeback, but was short on details.

Former President Donald Trump said on Friday in his first public comments since leaving office that he is planning to make a comeback, but he was short on details.

He told Rob Crilly of the Washington Examiner that “We’ll do something, but not just yet.” Trump was dining at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida when he made the comment.

The comment was similar to what he said Wednesday morning in his last hours in office, just before leaving for Florida, when he said that he would be back “in some form.”

Former Trump adviser Stephen Miller also spoke to the Washington Examiner on Friday, saying that “Florida is really the perfect place to be the new HQ of the MAGA movement and a launching pad for the president’s next endeavor.”

Miller said that Trump could play a role politically.

“He leaves with the certain knowledge that he put everything you have into the mission,” added Miller. “This movement is beginning. This movement is a young movement. It’s still in its infancy and the president—his own journey is still only begun.”

Trump and Miller made these comments on the same day that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced that the Senate impeachment trial of Trump will be delayed a couple weeks, and will begin on the week of Feb. 8.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
