Knowing what we know now – that the overwhelming majority of victims of COVID-19 have occurred with the elderly in palliative care with multiple long-term chronic health conditions – is it really practical or justified to quarantine the entire population? Should governments now reconsider their emergency health and economic responses to the epidemic and reopen the schools, businesses, and relax “COVID control” measures like social distancing?
