House Democrats’ fundraising arm caught in Major factual blunder after Rittenhouse verdict

“This is the guy guiding the Dems for 2022,” pundit deadpans

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee made two major factual errors in its response to the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict Friday, getting basic details wrong about the police encounter that sparked last summer’s Kenosha riots.

“It’s disgusting and disturbing that someone was able to carry a loaded assault rifle into a protest against the unjust killing of Jacob Blake, an unarmed Black man, and take the lives of two people and injure another — and face absolutely no consequences,” Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, chair of the House Democrats’ fundraising arm, wrote in a statement.

Blake was holding a knife when he was shot, and he was paralyzed by the encounter, as several commenters pointed out. “The DCCC chairman doesn’t even know that Jacob Blake is alive,” one tweeted.

“This is the guy guiding the Dems for 2022,” pundit Andrew Sullivan tweeted.

Fox News noted the officer who shot Blake after responding to a domestic disturbance call was not charged by state or federal authorities. Blake was wanted on several warrants, including disorderly conduct and third-degree sexual assault.

DCCC’s spokesperson released a corrected statement later Friday. It refers to the “unjust shooting” of Blake.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
