Eight Republicans voted with Democrats to move the effort to the Homeland Security Committee

The House of Representatives on Monday voted to refer a resolution to impeach Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to a committee after Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene brought the measure last week.

Eight Republicans voted with Democrats to move the effort to the Homeland Security Committee, Politico reported. Mayorkas’s tenure has witnessed a marked uptick in illegal border crossings and Greene’s resolution had accused him of neglecting his duties.

“In his willful admittance of border crossers, terrorists, human traffickers, drugs, and other contraband, Alejandro Nicholas Mayorkas has failed to maintain operational control of the border, thereby violating the Secure Fence Act of 2006,” she wrote. “As Secretary of the Department of Homeland Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, has violated his oath to uphold this constitutional duty by allowing the invasion of approximately 10,000,000 illegals across our borders.”

“The ongoing invasion at our southern border is a direct national security threat against the States and against the citizens therein,” the resolution continued. “Secretary Mayorkas has willfully abandoned his duty to secure the border and protect States against invasion, thereby violating article IV, section 4 of the Constitution.”

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)

3 Comments on House votes to refer Mayorkas Impeachment to committee

  1. Theater. It’s all theater. They got us to believe he was really going to be impeached – ditto w/ Xiden – and sooooo many fell for it! And, likely they raked in LOTS OF DONATIONS off these plays… Are ya getting it yet, kids??? This is all BS, it’s all theater – to keep us distracted from making REAL changes at the local level, which will trickle upwards, and to keep us sending them money that some of us really don’t have. Please, wake up!!!

  2. Why title this article to make it appear that impeachment of Mayorkas is still in play, when it isn’t? The Dems and 21 RINOs (8 voting and 13 not showing up to vote) essentially killed the impeachment effort. Mayorkis is free to let another 10 million illegals into the country. Good question as to how many of these illegals are coordinated, with access to stashes of arms and munitions, who will one day or night come to your municipality, going door-to-door and shoot you dead. Comforting, isn’t it?

  3. They don’t call our Rep. party a uniparty for nothing. Face it, we do not have a republican party. Eventually, a third party will have to come in and replace the repubs.
