Hunter Biden’s Chinese client demands Reimbursement

Former CEFC official Patrick Ho wants to know what work Hunter Biden actually did for his $1 million fee, according to a new report.

By Steven Richards

Hunter Biden’s Chinese client, Patrick Ho, has reportedly sent a letter to Hunter Biden demand repays the $1 million legal retainer sent to him in 2017.

In the letter, sent last week  by representatives of Ho from Hong Kong, the attorneys threaten to sue Hunter Biden if he does not reimburse the Hong Kong Chinese national for unused funds and if he fails to provide a detailed accounting of the services he provided, Miranda Devine reported in the New York Post.

Ho worked for Ye Jianming, the chairman of CEFC China Energy who formed at least two joint ventures with Hunter Biden. The first son raked in millions from these deals.

Hunter Biden’s relationship with Ho came under scrutiny after the CEFC official was arrested in November 2017 at New York’s JFK Airport – two days after charges were filed against him in a sealed complaint.

Ho was eventually convicted of violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit the same in late 2018.

The Justice Department said the conviction detailed two wide-ranging schemes by Ho to bribe African officials in Chad and Uganda to secure business advantages for the CEFC China Energy – Ye Jianming’s energy conglomerate.

One of the first phone calls that Ho placed after his arrest was to James Biden – President Joe Biden’s brother – who believed that Ho was trying to get in contact with his nephew, Hunter.

Shortly before Ho’s arrest, Hunter Biden had signed an attorney engagement letter with CEFC for the Hongkonger’s legal representation. That document was provided to the House Ways and Means Committee by the two IRS whistleblowers who came forward claiming the Justice Department had improperly handled the Hunter Biden tax investigation.

After receiving the $1 million engagement fee Hunter Biden would help to organize Patrick Ho’s legal defense team, but did not play an active role in the case, Just the News previously reported.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
