Is Religion in its Death Throes

By TLB Staff Writer: L. Femine.

In the long history of this planet, what has come forth to save it in times of extreme disaster – like this present era? Religion in one form or another. Now, don’t go getting images of God coming down with a giant whip to punish the lot of us. No, no, no. There are better options. We don’t have to go there.

I’m not on the band wagon promoting any particular religion; but I AM saying religious freedom, lack of, is the very downfall of any civilization. Or at the very least, a severe symptom of a dying world. What follows closely, having been brewing beforehand, is barbarism in all its ugly manifestations. So, God coming down and striking us senseless is a bit late on the chain (in my opinion)

Without a sense of oneself as a spiritual being, in whatever form is chosen, whichever religion or faith, we are little more than animals. We would be slaves to the body, having no clue as to our true nature. But, unfortunately, we are getting much help along the way to such a state of existence.

BloombergWitness the excellent article written recently by Lori, here at the Liberty Beacon called, “Baby Bloomberg Gets His Way,” about religious exemption to flu shots. In the video, notice the intense flavor of inquisition from the lawyer, a clueless blockhead. In the end, he claims to be just doing his job. Yes he is – a lapdog for Mayor Bloomberg, the man finding all sorts of ways to curb the freedoms of New Yorkers. He, himself, is the minion for bigger forces of oppression, as he puts across his air of nanny benevolence. In other words, religious suppression, among others.

Many New Yorkers are breathing a sigh of relief that Bloomberg is leaving office in a few weeks. However, he is being replaced by Bill de Blasio, a former Marxist revolutionary. The frying pan to the fire. Not the fires of hell – who needs that when earth serves so well?

Regarding religion, here is a well-known quote from Karl Marx in “Critique of Hegel’s Philosophy of Right”:

Marx_color2[1]“Religious distress is at the same time the expression of real distress and the protest against real distress. Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of a spiritless situation. It is the opium of the people. The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is required for their real happiness. The demand to give up the illusion about its condition is the demand to give up a condition which needs illusions.”

Here, religion has condescendingly been reduced to a drug. With a little education into current events, the mind can jump easily to psychiatric drugs as the modern “opium” of the people. Could it be psychiatrists actually believe they are offering a chemical salvation and delivery from emotional pain? Well, if they have such delusions, the opposite occurs – a spin into a mindless, numb depression embracing murder and suicide – a very far cry from the spiritual joy and freedom of knowing oneself.

The so-called “spiritual high” supposedly achieved by LSD, ingested freely in the hippie era of the sixties, was actually created by the CIA in 1951 as a mind control experiment, beginning with psychiatrist Albert Hoffman who discovered its hallucinogenic properties. It was later used as experiments by other psychiatrists who concluded it was a “cure” for various problems. The drug was later criminalized in 1970 since it caused so much damage.

children-of-the-common-core[1]Another arm of this era of a lost civilization is the degrading of the spirit caused by bombarding the world with the “freedom” of sex and pornography, especially in children as young as five, thanks to Common Core and Planned Parenthood and their new sex education programs – complete with graphic images!

What better way to put attention on the body and steer us away from who we are? Not at all to say sex is unimportant or should be squashed; society itself would die without it. But when it’s pushed off and promoted as “the way” to be truly happy and fulfilled, well, that’s a lot of crock. It’s nothing but illusion and degradation, a tool of suppression to keep us down and too preoccupied to challenge them.

We know we don’t need unbridled sex and drugs; that’s the religion of psychiatry and certain of their friends. Pity them because they have actually convinced themselves they are helping us be “at peace” through the means of sex and drugs. That’s based on the premise that we are just animals anyway.

In the 1800’s, psychologist Wilhelm Wundt, founder of modern psychology, proclaimed than man is nothing but a body, in opposition to the original belief than body and soul were separate entities. Here’s what he said:

thCA74LHE6“If one assumes that there is nothing there to begin with but a body, a brain and a nervous system, then one must try to educate by inducing sensations in the nervous system.” In a Wundt textbook, translated into English in 1911,Wundt declared, “The…soul can no longer exist in the face of our present‐ day physiological knowledge….” In the 1900’s, Wundt’s influence crept into Webster’s dictionary with this definition: “Recent psychology, for the most part, dispenses with the concept of the soul as an entity….”

The irony of this erroneous definition is that the root word of psychology, “psyche,” means soul. How far removed from that can you get with present-day psychology and psychiatry?

To conclude: you are a spirit; any good religion will tell you that. Further, you will always exist, despite whatever happens to the piece of meat called your body. If we keep that in mind, we will make it.
