Kamala Harris Takes Another Cheap Shot at Biden in NY Times Hit Piece

Vice President Kamala Harris wants to be treated like a queen, but in the Biden White House, she is apparently an afterthought. Harris is objecting to the ill treatment with yet another hit piece; this time, published in the New York Times.

First off, Kamala Harris is being blamed for crumbling relations with U.S. Democratic senators like Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, despite the VP being the President of the Senate and decisive vote when the votes are split 50-50.

“In Ms. Harris’s case, she came to the job without strong ties to key senators; one person briefed on the Oval Office meeting said it would be more productive if the discussion between Mr. Biden and Mr. Manchin remained private,” the Times reported. “It is unclear that the president had much sway on his own, either, given the senator’s decision this week to break with the White House over the domestic policy bill.”

Before becoming vice president, Harris was a far-left Democratic senator from California, which makes her lack of tact with her fellow senators even more inexplicable and even more unacceptable from a Biden White House point-of-view.

“But without a headlining role in some of the most critical decisions facing the White House, the vice president is caught between criticism that she is falling short and resentment among supporters who feel she is being undercut by the administration she serves,” the Times continued. “And her allies increasingly are concerned that while Mr. Biden relied on her to help him win the White House, he does not need her to govern.”

Ouch. The complaints here give off the vibe that Kamala Harris resents being a “token” vice president; it smacks of the belief that she was selected for affirmative actions reasons only.

“I think she was an enormous help to the ticket during the campaign,” said Mark Buell, one of Ms. Harris’s earliest fund-raisers since her first race for district attorney in San Francisco. “I would like to see her employed in the same way, now that they’re implementing their objectives or goals.”

Kamala Harris may have been of “enormous help” to the Bidens during the campaign, but that was basically because she was a head nod towards the riotous Black Lives Matter movement. On her own, she was a failed presidential candidate who barely registered six points of support in South Carolina before dropping out of the race.

Harris has unsurprisingly blamed her lack of likeability on being black and female. However, it should be noted that Barack Obama, the nation’s first black president, had his moments of fairly high approval.

“Ms. Harris has privately told her allies that the news coverage of her would be different if she were any of her 48 predecessors, whom she has described as all white and male,” the Times noted.

The Harris camp has recently seen defections with high-ranking aides jumping ship ahead of her planned 2024 presidential run. In early December, two more aides abandoned her.

“Two more aides working in Vice President Harris’s office are expected to leave their roles in the coming weeks in addition to the two high-profile exits of her press secretary and communications director,” The Hill reported.

“Peter Velz, who is the vice president’s director of press operations, and Vince Evans, the deputy director of the Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs for Harris, are planning to leave those positions soon,” the report added.

“Harris’ office declined to comment,” The Hill added. “The Washington Post first reported on their impending exits.”

The Vice President’s senior advisor and chief spokesperson, Symone Sanders, is leaving by the end of the year, Axios also reported.

“Why it matters: The VP has faced an onslaught of criticism in her first year centered on her leadership and staff, adding to the suggestion, she’s not the Democratic Party’s preferred nominee for 2024,” Axios reported.

“The backdrop: Sanders was seen as one of the central staffers for Harris as a candidate and is known to be personally trusted by Harris herself / the staffer most frequently (or visible) by her side,” the report added.

The bitter White House infighting earlier claimed another casualty: The Vice President’s Communications Director Ashley Etienne.

“Kamala Harris’s communications director Ashley Etienne is leaving the vice president’s office after reports staff are in-fighting and her boss is being sidelined,” the Daily Mail reported.

“Etienne, a former staffer to Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama, joined Harris’ team shortly after the election,” the report said. “At the time she said she would stay only a year. Vanity Fair first reported the news.”

The White House has descended into open rebellion after a Kamala Harris hit piece on the Bidens was published by CNN.

CNN claimed its hit piece came from “nearly three dozen former and current Harris aides, administration officials.” The Democratic operatives, donors and outside advisers “spoke exclusively to CNN.” The entire piece smacks of a torrent of leaks from inside the Harris inner circle.

“Many in the vice president’s circle fume that she’s not being adequately prepared or positioned, and instead is being sidelined,” CNN reported. “The vice president herself has told several confidants she feels constrained in what she’s able to do politically. And those around her remain wary of even hinting at future political ambitions, with Biden’s team highly attuned to signs of disloyalty, particularly from the vice president.”

The CNN piece also makes a cryptic warning that Harris may retaliate against the Biden camp if it refuses to accede to her demands. (This may refer to 25th amendment threats that were floated prior to the 2020 ‘election’.)

“She’s a heartbeat away from the presidency now,” the CNN piece added. “She could be just a year away from launching a presidential campaign of her own, given doubts throughout the political world that Biden will actually go through with a reelection bid in 2024, something he’s pledged to do publicly and privately. Or she’ll be a critical validator in three years for a President trying to get the country to reelect him to serve until he’s 86.”

Meanwhile, there has been serious talk going around Washington D.C. that Kamala Harris may soon find herself “pursuing other opportunities” so the Biden team can get her out of the White House.

Thus far, she hasn’t been jettisoned by the Biden camp. Joe Biden recently claimed that he would run again for president, particularly if Donald Trump ran again.
