MOM on the RIGHT: Chick-fil-A Loses the Culture War to the Left

WATCH SHOW BELOW INTRO ARTICLE

Your Host – TLB Media Director:

Corine Gatti-Santillo

David Almasi talked with Mom on the Right about Chick-fil-A pulling funds from Christian organizations because of pressure from the Left and LGBTQ groups.

According to online statements, the policy will go into place in 2020 and will focus the company’s charitable donations on the areas of hunger, homelessness and education. Tim Tassopoulos, president and COO of Chick-fil-A, Inc., said the goal “is to donate to the most effective organizations in the areas of education, homelessness and hunger…. Faith-based or non-faith-based, no organization will be excluded from future consideration.”

The faith-based organization is taking heat from conservatives and Christians for caving to the demands of the LGBTQ to pull funds from organizations that are against same-sex unions.

Ted Cruz (R-TX) tweeted: @ChickfilAhas badly lost its way. Millions of Christians have been proud of ChickFilA’s courageous stands for religious liberty. To fund those who hate your customers is just sad.”

Chick-fil-A stopped making contributions to groups opposing LGBTQ causes in 2012. However, remained partners with the Paul Anderson Youth Home, Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which oppose same-sex marriages.

The Left’s ferocious appetite will never be satisfied as my guest explained. So, in the end, Chick-fil-A will lose on both fronts by losing customers and appeasing many in opposition to their beliefs like the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), who they reportedly fund.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
