Rep roils hearing: Why Hunter Biden not prosecuted for Lying on app to Buy a Gun?

GOP Rep. Tom Tiffany on Wednesday asked a leader of the advocacy group Everytown for Gun Safety in a House hearing why first son Hunter Biden has not been prosecuted for apparently lying on his 2018 application to buy a gun, rankling those in attendance.
“Why hasn’t Hunter Biden been prosecuted for the crime that he committed?” the Wisconsin lawmaker asked Rob Wilcox, a senior policy director for the group at the hearing titled,” ATF’s Assault on the Second Amendment: When is Enough Enough?”
“I’m not aware of the facts of that case and can’t comment on it,” responded Wilcox, who according to his LinkedIn profile has a law degree.
In a video on social media of the exchange, a murmur of voices can then be heard during the exchange, which is followed by one person, seemingly on the House committee, saying Tiffany’s question is “totally irrelevant” to the hearing.
Another can be heard saying, “This is not a court of law.”
Tiffany then asks, “Who do we talk to to see why this case is not being prosecuted?”
He then referred to Hunter Biden, President Biden’s son, having been discharged from the Navy in 2014 after testing positive for cocaine, buying the gun in 2018 without disclosing on the application unlawful use of drugs, and writing in a recent autobiography about his addiction.
“He said very clearly in his book that he used drugs,” Tiffany continued.

The gun was reportedly found in 2018 in a trash can outside a market in Delaware, and the firearm transaction report indicated that Biden purchased it earlier that month.
Someone on the committee can also be heard on the video calling for a “point of order,” to stop Tiffany’s line of question.
The congressman appeared to laugh off the effort and said, “I understand why you do not want Mr. Wilcox to answer that question because there’s a dual system of justice in America that’s what’s going on right now. And everybody’s talking about it across America. There’s two standards of justice that are going on.”
