Trump warns of Chinese Global Encroachment under Biden

“Obviously, there’s got to be something that they have because… how does a man allow China to move that military to Cuba?” ~Donald Trump

Former President Donald Trump on Monday lamented that the People’s Republic of China has managed to expand its influence across the globe under the Biden administration, in particular highlighting Beijing’s influence over Afghanistan and tightening grip on the communist enclave in Cuba.

Appearing on the “Great America Show” with host Lou Dobbs, Trump contended that under his leadership China “had respect” for the United States.

“They didn’t treat us like they treat these people [the Biden administration] the way they lecture us and tell us they laugh at our people, our representatives, but in particular, they laugh at our president,” he contended.

He went on to suggest that Beijing might have something on President Joe Biden, as a possible explanation for the administration’s apparent apathy toward Chinese aggression.

“Obviously, there’s got to be something that they have because… how does a man allow China to move that military to Cuba?” he asked.

Trump’s remarks appear to refer to reports of the establishment of a Chinese listening post in Cuba, where a communist regime governs a sizeable Caribbean island just 90 miles from the coast of the United States.

“Cuba essentially is being taken over by the Chinese 90 miles off our coast, by the way. And they’re building all sorts of military installations and nobody even talks about it,” he continued, before pivoting to the Chinese rapprochement with the Taliban-led Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

The U.S. withdrew from the country in August of 2021 amid a Taliban offensive that saw the militants overthrow the U.S.-backed government and seize billions in U.S. military equipment.

“We surrendered and they kept $85 billion worth of the best equipment in the world, tanks and planes and everything else. And they… killed our soldiers,” he lamented. Trump went on to observe that the Chinese had stepped in to fill the void left by the departing Americans.

“And now China is occupying Bagram [Air Base], which I said would happen,” Trump continued. “[O]ne of the largest Air Force bases anywhere in the world… And we left… It’s one hour away from where they make… their nuclear weapons. So you see all these things. It’s so sad,” he concluded.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
