Vice President Harris dodged questions about visiting the border all day Monday, finally addressing the issue in a one-on-one interview. NBC’s Lester Holt interviewed Harris Monday during her trip to Guatemala to echo other reporters.

“Do you have any plans to visit the border?” Holt asked

“At some point – we’re going to the border. We’ve been to the border.” Harris said. “We’ve been the border.” But, neither the Vice President or the President have visited yet. “YOU haven’t been to the border,” Holt said.

“And I haven’t been to Europe. I don’t understand the point you’re making,” Harris said, laughing at the question.

Holt pointed out that many members of congress and border patrol officials have implored a visit from the border czar herself. But, she responded: “I care about what’s happening at the border.” She made no promises to visit soon. “I’m in Guatemala because my focus is dealing with the root causes of migration. There may be some that think that is not important . . . we better care about the root causes.”

Florida Republican candidate Lavern Spicer responded to the clip by demanding that Harris take her job seriously. “Do you job and stop making women of color look bad!” she tweeted.

Pundit Amy Tarkanian echoed Spicer, saying it was a bad look. She tweeted that the vice president acted “like a petulant child.”

Even former MLB player Lenny Dykstra was struck by Harris’ response. “What’s so funny?” he tweeted.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
