Your Child Could be Tested & Detained for COVID Without Your Consent

By TLB Contributing Partner: Christina England, BA, Hons

In a recent article published by the website Lockdown Sceptics, author Will Jones criticized the current testing of COVID-19 in Liverpool. He outlined a letter that was sent to parents of children attending the Broadgreen International School in Liverpool, which he believed was extremely worrying,

He wrote that:

The headteacher of the Broadgreen International School, a technology college in Liverpool, sent a very sinister letter to parents yesterday, informing them how privilegedthey should feel that the army will be in the school on Monday testing all the children, marking them with a barcode and detaining those who test positive. The head adds that parental permission wont be sought because under these very challenging and unprecedented circumstances that is not possible.Surely, this isnt legal?” (own emphasis)

The letter, written by headteacher Ms P. Towley and published on the Lockdown Sceptics website, did indeed, as suggested, have sinister undertones.

Towley wrote the following:

I am pleased to inform you that we at Broadgreen International School are in the privileged position of being one of the first schools within the city to have the testing brought to our site.

She continued that:

I have met this afternoon with representatives of the British Army who will be in school next week to Covid -19 to test all our children and staff. Each child and adult will be will be identified with a unique barcode to ensure personal identification of test and subsequent results.” (own emphasis)

She concluded that:

Under normal circumstances parental permission is sought for the testing of children, however, under these very challenging and unprecedented circumstances that is not possible, therefore would ask that if you wish to exclude your child from this test please do so in writing to me by first thing on Monday morning.” [1]

This is extremely worrying, as not only is this UK school willing to test all of their pupils without their parents’ permission, but they are also going to identify each child with a unique barcode.

All of this information leads The Liberty Beacon to question not only this schools ethics but the validity of these barcodes and how they are going to be distributed.

They may be, of course, be attached to the child’s paperwork, in which case, apart from the ethics of whether any child should be listed as merely a number, no real harm has been done.

However, there is the worrying possibility that these barcodes could be tattooed either permanently or temporarily onto the child’s arm, in the same way as the numbers were permanently tattooed on the arms of the Jews in 1941. If this scenario is the case, then this is a whole new ball game. [2]

Of course, it is highly unlikely that children will be permanently tattooed with barcodes, however, the whole scenario of using barcodes to identify a child is very concerning.

However, whichever way the authorities decide to use these barcodes to identify the children who have COVID–19, it is still a well-known fact that segregating children into separate groups is a form of discrimination and has the potential to lead to mental illness and bullying.

Segregating the Population into Groups has Being Going on for Years

It appears that over the years, segregating the population into groups is something that governments from around the world have been very keen to do.

One of latest schemes that is currently being used in the UK is the yellow sunflower scheme, a scheme put in place to identify whether or not a person has a disability and is therefore exempt from wearing a face mask.

However, many disabled people have reported that they hate wearing the yellow sunflower lanyards because they believe that they are similar to the yellow Stars of David that were once used in Nazi Germany to identify Jewish citizens.

Yellow Sunflower a Mark of Shame

I spoke to one disabled person who told me that:

I find that by wearing my yellow sunflower lanyard, I am telling the world that I am different, that I am disabled. Personally I find it degrading and humiliating.

She continued:

In my opinion they are little more than a mark of shame.

After hearing what she had to say, I immediately thought back to the yellow stars that the Jewish community had to wear as a means of identification in Nazi Germany during World War ll, as these, too, were often described as a mark of shame.

According to a British Library publication, Jews throughout Nazi-occupied Europe were forced to wear a badge in the form of a Yellow Star, as a means of identification.

The publication stated that:

This was not a new idea; since medieval times many other societies had forced their Jewish citizens to wear badges to identify themselves.

They continued that:

“The badges were often printed on coarse yellow cloth and were a garish yellow colour. The star, which represented the Star of David, was outlined in thick, black lines and the word ‘Jew’ was printed in mock-Hebraic type. In the Warsaw ghetto, Jews wore a white armband with a blue Star of David on their left arm. In some ghettos, even babies in prams had to wear the armbands or stars. Jewish shops were also marked with a Yellow Star.”

However, it was the author’s final sentence that made me liken both the barcodes and the yellow sunflower lanyards to the yellow star system used in Nazi Germany. The author concluded that:

The star was intended to humiliate Jews and to mark them out for segregation and discrimination. The policy also made it easier to identify Jews for deportation to camps.” [3]

Isn’t it about time that we questioned whether or not the barcodes and sunflower lanyards that are currently being used in the UK to identify the sick and the disabled are not part of the same concept?

Arlo is a little dog that I am fostering. He is under a year old and completely unable to walk, due to severe birth deformities. I am fostering him from Hessa’s Homeless Hounds in Hertfordshire.

We need to raise around £12.000 ($15.900) to enable him to have the surgery that he so desperately needs, to free him from pain and get him on his feet for the first time in his life.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
