Bill Gates Pushes Plan to Chop Down 70 Million Acres of Trees to ‘Fight Global Warming’

Would it be $alable carbon offset$ he is looking at?

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is funding a new effort that seeks to chop down a staggering 70 million acres of trees in an effort to allegedly “fight global warming.”

Gates’s organization, Breakthrough Energy, has plowed $6.6 million into the project led by Kodama Systems.

The move will see 70m acres of forests, mostly in the Western United States, cut down.

According to the project organizers, “scientists” say “burying trees can reduce global warming.”

Kodama claims that burying the trees will prevent them from allegedly “spewing” carbon back into the air.

The coordinators of the project are choosing to reap the salable carbon offsets by burying the biomass in dry & oxygen-free “earthenvaults.”

The trees will be buried instead of being used for conventional means, like timber for housing.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)

  1. I was about to make the same comment as Edmond (above). Trees do not spew carbon dioxide. They take it in and spew out oxygen. If A$$hole Gates accomplishes his wet dream we might all be suffocated or die a toxic death. Without enough trees = lack of oxygen to breathe. We’ll be breathing in pollution from China’s factories.

  2. WAIT A MINUTE! WHERE’S THE SCIENCE HERE? — THEY’VE GOT IT BACKWARD! — Do they really think we’re all that stupid? Trees DO NOT produce carbon dioxide; they consume it. – Bill Gates needs to be educated (and that’s my mildest recommendation).

Trees CONSUME carbon dioxide and PRODUCE Oxygen. Hasn’t anyone here taken a elementary biology course. Is this the result of the dumbing down of education in the U.S.?

“A typical hardwood tree can absorb as much as 48 pounds of carbon dioxide per year.” – Go ahead…Fact check this.

“A mature leafy tree produces as much oxygen in a season as 10 people inhale in a year. This quote was from an Arbor Day Foundation report.” – Go ahead…Fact check this.
