Dr. Gal Luft, an Israeli academic and key whistleblower in the Biden probe, who was reportedly “missing” for several weeks, has been indicted by the Department of Justice.

This development comes just days after Luft released a video accusing the Biden family of accepting bribes and aiding the Chinese government, raising questions of whistleblower retaliation. Dr. Gal Luft was a former business associate of Hunter Biden.

Luft is facing charges for failing to register as a foreign agent while he allegedly worked to further China’s interests in the U.S. The eight-count indictment also includes allegations of arms trafficking, violating Iranian sanctions, and providing false statements to federal agents.

U.S. Attorney Damian Williams stated, “As alleged, Gal Luft, a dual U.S. and Israeli citizen and co-leader of a Maryland-based think tank, engaged in multiple, serious criminal activities. He skirted U.S. foreign agent registration laws to promote Chinese policies through a former high-ranking U.S. Government official; acted as a broker in arms and Iranian oil deals; and lied about his activities to law enforcement.”

The indictment claims that Luft conspired with others to promote China’s interests within the U.S. without properly registering as foreign agents. Allegedly, Luft and a co-conspirator crafted a written “dialogue” between a former U.S. Government official and a Chinese national, the dialogue was subsequently published in a Chinese newspaper online. Moreover, Luft and the co-conspirator are said to have discussed possible roles this official might have in the incoming U.S. administration and the potential for a “silent trip” to China.

According to Israeli international criminal and civil rights lawyer Mordechai Tzivin, who is representing Luft, his client has information that would ‘bury’ Hunter Biden and ‘shift attention toward the president himself.’

Last week, Luft uploaded a video from an unidentified location, alleging his detainment was an effort to prevent his scheduled testimony before the House Oversight Committee. In the video, he accuses the Biden family of accepting payments from figures connected to Chinese military intelligence and claims they had an informant within the FBI who shared classified information with their patrons from the Chinese-controlled energy company, CEFC.

The self-identified whistleblower affirms he handed over the damaging evidence to six officials from the FBI and the Department of Justice during a confidential meeting in Brussels in March 2019, but claims it was subsequently suppressed.

Expressing his frustration, Luft, who voluntarily alerted the US government about a potential security breach, now feels hunted by the same people he alerted, possibly having to spend his life in hiding.

“I, who volunteered to inform the US government about a potential security breach and about compromising information about a man vying to be the next president, am now being hunted by the very same people who I informed — and may have to live on the run for the rest of my life on the run …”

Despite having no political agenda, he felt compelled to act out of concern that if the Bidens took power, the country could face a similar scandal to the Russia collusion controversy, but this time with China. Regrettably, he believes this occurred due to the alleged cover-up by the DOJ.

House Oversight Chair James Comer told Newsmax that Luft was in discussions with the committee and would soon be testifying. Comer described Luft as “highly credible,” and noted that, “this is a credible witness that the FBI flew all the way to Brussels to interview and sent several agents to interview. This is someone who knew about CEFC in detail long before the laptop ever became public.”

Thus, it appears that MSNBC is seeking to get out ahead of Luft’s testimony, should he, as Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) argued, be “granted immunity” to appear before the committee. And for good measure, the former Democratic press secretary is appearing with a Democratic congressman to smear the sitting House Oversight Chair in the investigation. It is a classic “attack the messengers” strategy, and there is evidence that it is not working.

According to a recent, I&I/TIPP online survey, 56% of respondents expressed their belief that President Biden likely accepted bribes from entities linked to China, Russia, and Ukraine. In contrast, 27% believed it to be unlikely. This a two-to-one ratio of believers to unbelievers regarding Biden bribery allegations.

The survey reflects trouble for the White House as it reveals a widespread skepticism among voters regarding Democrat denials of wrongdoing. A breakdown of the numbers shows a near-even split among Democrats: 39% consider it likely, while 42% find it unlikely.

Among Republicans, a striking 80% believe the allegations are true, with only 9% considering it unlikely. Independents align more closely with the overall sentiment, with 56% leaning towards likelihood and 22% towards unlikelihood.

It looks like voters across the spectrum are on to the Democratic Party about the credibility of the Biden corruption allegations. Whether this significantly impacts the presidential race remains to be seen.
