By: Roger Landry (TLB)

Please let me start by saying once again that it is a rare happening that I have the time to record an EPI episode … A non radio podcast where I am the host, actually it has now been several weeks. As most of you know I usually use this forum to present the shows I have been invited to do with other great and learned hosts … But rarely I do get to use this forum to interview the best of the best … and today is no exception!

So let’s talk about my guest today …

As I have stated before … If you start off by trying to imagine an individual with an esteemed background of, education, military service (retired), business management, and entrepreneurship, and is also an author of several best selling books … then you may better understand Mr. Bill Muckler. Bill has been associated with TLB Project for about a decade now, and we are all more learned for his participation and contributions. This is my friend Bill’s second appearance on EPI Town Crier this year, and I simply could not pass on the opportunity! The reward of doing a show with Bill is the fact that it is never an interview … it is a discussion !!!

So once again let’s talk with Bill and get a learned take on what the hell is happening in America, from someone with well over three quarters of a century of experience (much closer to 100 than to 50 LOL!). Having such a diverse background and life experiences, I can only state that with a discussion on such diverse and vital points, when considering all those I am associated with via The Liberty Beacon Project … Bill is one of very few qualified to deliver, and I am eager to participate !!!

So let’s get this rolling …

The Softening of America

By TLB Project Contributor: Bill Muckler

America is becoming softer and softer by the day. As America’s citizenry becomes soft, so does the country. By writing this, and speaking on the accompanying podcast, I am certain I will offend a good many people and I will surely piss off even more of my friends and family. Harden up folks, I’m the messenger.

Why do we have a government” Mainly to keep the citizens safe and secure and to provide and enforce a set of just laws the citizenry can benefit from. Statistics show criminal activity is skyrocketing in America. Why? Law enforcement is softer on criminals than it is on the victims of crime. Cashless bail and early prison releases are meant to make it easier to rehabilitate criminals. No evidence corroborates this. Soft on crime does not work.

Come on in. The borders are soft for foreign nationals to invade our country. Illegal aliens are streaming into America and what is our government doing about it? Taking the soft approach of providing lodging, food, clothing, iPhones, education, and other benefits we are not aware of instead of a hard stop at the border.

Go to church, a grocery store, or a restaurant. What do you see? The overwhelming majority of people are visibly obese. Soft from lack of exercise. Soft from consumption of fast food and processed food. Can a country be strong if the citizens are soft and weak?

Big Pharma rules. Americans are getting sicker and sicker. Watch the TV commercials. Ads on drugs are countless. Who benefits? Our elected officials are being paid by lobbyists to keep us medicated, and soft.

Speaking of church. Participation is down. Morality is just too hard. Everyone wants a soft life. Make a baby you don’t want? The government will erase your obligation to carry it to fruition. It’s the softer way.

Fire the teacher. A professor is terminated because the students stated the class was too hard. Since when are science classes supposed to be soft? Test scores are plummeting in all courses. Can America compete in a global economy with workers who couldn’t pass math, science, or reading? The competition is hardened.

Jobs Americans won’t do. The labor participation rate in America is about sixty-two percent. Some can’t work. Eighty percent appears to be an attainable goal. What are those other eighteen percent doing? Oh, they’re on the government dole. What is the poverty rate? About eighteen percent. Jobs are hard. Receiving checks from the government is the soft and easy way for half of America now.

America’s future? Getting strong as the people get soft? Or getting softer as people accept softness as their new normal?

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
