GMO Cows Pushed as Frankensolution to Milk Allergies

Milk from dairy cows contains the protein s-lactoglobulin (BLG) which is not present in human milk. As it is a major milk allergen, an attempt at decreasing BLG by genetically modifying cows has gained much attention recently. According to researchers in a recent study, “analysis of hormonally induced milk from [these calves] demonstrated absence of BLG and a concurrent increase of all casein milk proteins.” It is believed that if bred in sufficient numbers, this type of genetically modified cow could one day provide milk for allergic infants and adults.

When will the madness stop?

In what seems like an attempt to distract us from the true dangers of milk, popular media and scientific sources like the one above are focusing our attention on the rare condition of milk allergies in an attempt to justify genetically modifying cows. Yet, only four percent of people are allergic to cow’s milk and doctors claim that most babies eventually outgrow this allergy. It remains clear; however, that the complications of milk consumption continue well into adulthood. It is reported that nearly 50 percent of the world’s population is lactose intolerant after childhood and that symptoms include bloating, pain or cramps, gas, diarrhea, and vomiting. If someone feels ill after consuming a dairy product once, they probably do not have lactose intolerance. However, if symptoms persist after continued dairy consumption, then the likelihood toward lactose intolerance is much higher. Humans do not have the enzymes to properly digest milk proteins like BLG and casein, it is no wonder why most people suffer after drinking milk.

In addition to these deleterious effects of drinking cow’s milk, it is important to note that all of American milk is genetically contaminated by bovine growth hormone (rBGH) to increase production unless it is clearly labelled “NO rBGH.” Monsanto Co., the manufacturer of rBGH, has influenced U.S. product safety laws permitting the sale of unlabeled rBGH milk. rBGH increases the rates of 16 different harmful medical conditions in cows, and there is substantial scientific evidence that it may increase antibiotic resistance and cancer rates in humans. The product is already prohibited in Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and in the 27 countries of the European Union and the Codex Alimentarius, the U.N.’s main food safety body, concluded there was no consensus that it’s safe for human health.

Whether considering GMOs or undigestible proteins, the risks associated with drinking processed cow’s milk far outweigh any benefits that may be gained from consuming it. Years and billions of dollars have been spent to indoctrinate our nation into thinking that “milk does a body good” and that our main source of calcium should come from it. Yet, it is commonly recognized that the best sources of calcium are green, leafy vegetables like spinach, kale, okra, and collards. Culinarily speaking, cow’s milk can easily be substituted with coconut or almond milk; both of which provide a creamy texture and are usually quite tasty depending on the brand.

10 Comments on GMO Cows Pushed as Frankensolution to Milk Allergies

  1. Sugar. Vitamin D2. Calcium carbonate (chalk). Etc. Remember, the vitamins are added in to almond milk. Raw milk contains all these and many more in natural form. Watch out for carageenan in Coconut milk. Of course this varies from brand to brand so check labels and do research. Remember, marketing is what sells products. Crisco? Hydrogenated fat. Margarine? One molecule away from plastic. Not saying almond milk is totally bad, but your knowledge is power.

  2. We must get back to the way nature made things or we are doomed. Infant allergies are often the result of the chemically laden vaccines altering their immune function and the antibiotics destroying their guts. This country has lost its mind by letting the corporations take over our food production and influence legislation to GMO our food.

  3. AND even BEFORE you’ve been born!! Sounds like a Zen koan!!! ha ha ha LOL 🙂 Our mothers were routinely prescribed thalidomide, which caused severe birth deformities in babies born to users, methamphetamine as “wonder” energy boost/ slimming aid/ “mommy’s little helper ” pill by medical practitioners who unwittingly became world-wide promoters and dispensers of mercury laced vaccines, silver / mercury amalgam dental fillings, among other supposedly beneficial medical technologies; dentally “beneficial” fluoridated water, pasteurized milk, sugar, agave syrup!!! -marketed as healthier alternative to sugar!!!! artificial sweeteners (Aspartame), food coloring (particularly – yellow #5) beverage sweetener (cheaper sugar – high fructose corn syrup) …list is seemingly endless, hydrogenated fats (NO CHOLESTEROL HERE, FOLKS!!!) – that’s the other, less visible, but far more insidious of addicting of the population to products generally known to cause harm to human body… makes you head spin just to try to wrap your mind around! 🙂

  4. NO ONE can (or SHOULD, for that matter) tolerate Aspartame! Ditto for MSG, Ditto for Fluoride in ANY delivery form, be it fluoridated water, toothpaste, or mouthwash. Believe it or not, but you can check this for yourself – these bastards have a nerve to market specially branded FLUORIDATED bottled water recommended for preparing milk replacement formula for babies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF??? NWO 🙂

  5. What additives in almond milk are suspect, according to you?, Would you kindly elaborate, please. I am almond milk consumer, but I’m not aware of any additives in it, so it’s a little puzzling statement to me…

  6. If I choose to use milk it’s almond, coconut, rice or once in a great while soy; but not usually. I haven’t drunken cow’s milk in a very long time and don’t miss it. Our food industry is so schlocked up and crap. What can one trust anymore? Whole Foods even used to be my favorite store, not anymore since they’ve relaxed their standards. They now allow GMO or GE food into their stores, so I won’t allow myself in the doors. I don’t need a certain store that badly that I cannot make another choice where food is cleaner and I don’t have to wonder what I’m purchasing. Since they’re against labeling I’m against them. That was my favorite store for many years and loved to shop there. Even have four reusable bags I purchased there, oh well; onward and upward.

  7. It is also important to distinguish between pasteurized milk and raw milk: Raw milk from grass-fed pasture raised dairy cows is Mother Nature’s #1 superfood, it contains all the beneficial enzymes, bacteria, and vitamins needed, including the one enzyme that allows those that are lactose-intolerant to digest raw dairy. It is a live food, unlike pasteurized milk, in which all is killed off by the 170 degree heating process. Beware of the “additives” in almond “milk”.

  8. The real issue is almost all milk produced in the USA comes from A1 milk, which contains beta-casein. Instead of genetically modifying dairy cows, we should simply be switching out the herds to A2 cows, of which their milk does not contain beta-casein. Problem solved, it’s almost too easy…. Most cows in Asia, Africa, & parts of S Europe are A2. But the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, N Europe have A1 dairy cows. But then that would rob corporate America of billions of dollars of profits, destroy more American’s health, and government would not be able to grow bigger.

  9. Keeping up with all one should not consume is a full time college course. Seems like most of the poisons have been consumed by most of us since childhood!

  10. I can not believe what is happening to our Beautiful America !
What about the people who can not tolerate Aspartame ?
I recall reading Aspartame is linked to MS, Parkinson and may other neurological disorders.
Aspartame effects the brain in a neg way.
