Joe Biden Hypes Apocalyptic Climate Change at Coast Guard Ceremony

Here’s How You Know He’s Lying

Becker News

President Biden on Wednesday attended the U.S. Coast Guard change-of-command ceremony and announced that one of the major roles for the Coast Guard moving forward is fighting climate change.

“The Coast Guard is only going to play it increasingly prominent role in our homeland and our national security,” Biden said. “The challenges we face continue to evolve and the choices we make today are literally going to shape the direction of the world throughout the 21st century.”

“What we do in the next ten years is going to lay it down,” he went on. “We’ll be calling on the Coast Guard more and more frequently, as you know, to underwrite the international maritime security, to keep sea lines open and secure, to uphold rules based international order to protect the waters, as it was mentioned, through which nearly one quarter of the United States GDP is transported, to manage the impact of climate change becoming more extreme, more extreme weather, and growing migration flows.”

“In addition, you see what’s happening in the Arctic,” he said. “Arctic is going to change drastically and become much a place that is going to also potentially generate potential conflict in terms of [indecipherable] as it melts.”

Thus continues decades of apocalyptic warnings about the polar ice caps melting, ‘capped’ off by President Joe Biden’s latest alarmism.

In 1989, the Associated Press issued a fearmongering report that entire nations would be “wiped off the face of the earth” by the year 2ooo if rising sea levels were not reversed.

“A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000,” the AP reported. “Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of ‘eco- refugees,′ ′ threatening political chaos, said Noel Brown, director of the New York office of the U.N. Environment Program, or UNEP.

“He said governments have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control,” the report added.

It is now 2022. And climate alarmists are pronouncing the same dire warnings if we do not act in the next decade. And so it will be in the next decade. And the next.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a New York socialist whose motives and sincerity about ‘climate change’ are highly questionable, predicted in 2019 that the  “world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.”

Ocasio-Cortez then had the temerity to accuse her critics of taking her seriously.

“This is a technique of the GOP, to take dry humor + sarcasm literally and ‘fact check’ it,” she tweeted. “Like the ‘world ending in 12 years’ thing, you’d have to have the social intelligence of a sea sponge to think it’s literal. But the GOP is basically Dwight from The Office so who knows.”

However, there are people who took her literally… at the Washington Post.

“Ocasio-Cortez says the world will end in 12 years. She is absolutely right,” the headline ran. That salvo was followed by five-alarm fire bell ringing from the editorialist.

“The last word on the subject from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change could not have been more dire,” the author writes. “We need to start NOW, to cut carbon emissions aggressively, or by 2030 we may have passed a tipping point beyond which the planet, and yes you people living on it, is in for a world of possibly permanent hurt. So let’s quibble that AOC said the world will end instead of the world as humans and current species have known it and depended on it will end, forever.”

Al Gore, the high priest of Apocalyptic Global Warming, announced at a conference in 2009 that a scientist predicted a “75 percent chance that the entire polar ice cap during some of the summer months could be completely ice free within five to seven years.”

The ice caps are not only still here, but they have occasionally expanded in size. Between 2012 and 2016, Arctic ice increased from an average of 2.2 million square miles to 3.3 million square miles, according to The Telegraph.

The most damning evidence that Democratic politicians  and celebrities spreading global warming hysteria don’t fully buy into their own propaganda is that they themselves own oceanfront property that is at or below sea level — and have for decades.

Joe Biden has impressive estates in Greenville, Delaware, Rehoboth Beach, and McLean, Virginia. His Rehoboth Beach residence was purchased in 1996.

In 2017, Biden’s “climate czar” John Kerry bought an $11 million house on Martha’s Vinyard. That’s a lot of climate denial for the nation’s top global warming envoy. He frequently rides in a private jet, like most affluent climate alarmists.

“Bill and Melinda Gates, passionate climate activists, also shelled out a small fortune for a luxury waterfront home,” the Washington Examiner reported in June 2021. “Last year, the couple, who are presently in the midst of a divorce, paid $43 million for a massive house on the beach in Del Mar, California, near San Diego.”

They can literally watch the rising oceans from their front living room. So calming and peaceful.

The Obamas own a beachfront property on Martha’s Vinyard, where they are known to throw ‘superspreader’ events.

If the Coast Guard has any role in fighting climate change, they better make themselves familiar with all the beachfront estates owned by climate alarmists like Biden, Kerry, Gates, and the Obamas. When they decide to sell their oceanside properties, that’s how they’ll know all the hyperbole is real.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
