And so, … “Luca, you’re muted” starts us off ‘well’, lol, as I start the show while forgetting to unmute myself on Skype, and rather than try my best to cover it up and hide it, I laugh out loud, literally, and make a point out of making this a ‘comedy’ skit.
Big Panda and Tiny Dragon are first, in a Prayer of sorts, and I have to ask WHY we cannot emulate this… A beautiful story. And this starts NEWS*FLASH, my small segment of sharing memes and thoughts, especially BLACK SHEEP.
I love to speak of silence, and how it is so desperately needed in our lives, and it is such an important part of Indian Life, as I share my thoughts on this…
Coming back from a short music break, I need to speak about SUICIDES in the military, and offer a strong possibility as to why this is happening, and as that it shared, I talk about PAT TILLMAN and his story, and WHY these ‘murders’ occur … A clip about him is very important and needs to be heard by all.
On the heels of that, I share a story I was told in confidence, but told I can share publicly with respect. The (short of adorable) story of ROLLING BEAR AND RUSSELL MEANS is next, and I will leave that there. Lol
This is part of my return to War & Genocide, part two, in which I take us back to ‘the way it was’… and what has happened, in my humble opinion, and why.
My friend Pascale shares a beautiful verse from Peter, the Disciple, which opens up this new segment, talking about truths about the TRC (Truth and Reconciliation Commision) ~ not only about the lies and corruption everywhere, but also, after that segment, we come back up the slope… by mentioning such beauty that is present in the every day Indigenous world, if we just take the time to look… The Tsalagi Beaded Necklace is also a topic of short ‘sharing’ as I pass on an intimate moment…
We need to speak about RACISM, and so it is, I come prepared with the best yet, Dr. Roland Chrisjohn, PhD, and also you hear Michael Parenti and his comedic approach to horrors of the past, in this clip DEFINING racism as we know it today, and why it applies to a not-so-distant past of ours…
Finishing the historical segment of War & Genocide, I expose ‘Canada’ and its wanton extermination and/or expulsion of the Original Inhabitants, chronologically tracing horror stories throughout these ‘Residential Schools’, BOTH in ‘Canada’ and the USA,inc.
And if people want to hear more of these events, so very important are they to understand the Evil that is brewing today and where it took root and how, I will be there to help shed light on this difficult chapter of OUR history, whenever asked.
The Colors of my Tribe, the Mi’gmaq is next, as we climb up the slope of true Life again, and see the beauty and hope of the future, I end in this way, anchoring all those attributes to a life well spent digging through Horrors of unimaginable proportions, but it needs to be done! And in the Spirit of Balance, we can share ALL truths, Good or Bad.
