Disney Documentary Glorifies Fauci’s Façade

Disney+ is the streaming home of National Geographic, which released a documentary on Dr. Anthony Fauci, whom they describe as “one of our most vital public servants, whose work saved millions while he faced threats from anonymous adversaries.”¹

The film paints Fauci as a hero, describing how he has “valiantly overseen the U.S. response to 50 years’ worth of epidemics, including HIV/AIDS, SARS and Ebola.”² The media has also elevated Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), to the point of near deity status, giving him the nickname “America’s doctor.”³

As Saagar Enjeti notes in the Breaking Points video above,⁴ there are now children’s books written about this man, and people have put signs out in their yards thanking him for his service during the pandemic. But what about his penchant for lying about the fact that he greenlighted grant money that was sent to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), which may have contributed to the pandemic?

Fauci’s COVID Lies Began at National Geographic

It’s curious that National Geographic has created this film, considering that National Geographic is the place where Fauci told one of his most pernicious lies in May 2020 — that there is no scientific evidence the coronavirus was made in a Chinese lab. National Geographic reported May 4, 2020:⁵

“‘If you look at the evolution of the virus in bats and what’s out there now, [the scientific evidence] is very, very strongly leaning toward this could not have been artificially or deliberately manipulated … Everything about the stepwise evolution over time strongly indicates that [this virus] evolved in nature and then jumped species,’ Fauci says.

Based on the scientific evidence, he also doesn’t entertain an alternate theory — that someone found the coronavirus in the wild, brought it to a lab, and then it accidentally escaped.”

Fauci’s insistence that the virus was of natural origin was instrumental in furthering the pandemic propaganda. It not only was headline news but became the basis for removing people from social media and censoring those who suggested that COVID-19 may have resulted from a manmade virus.

Meanwhile, Fauci had knowledge well before May 2020 that some experts were suspicious about the virus’ origin. He pushed the natural origin theory anyway, despite the evidence of engineering.

January 2020 Email to Fauci Warns of ‘Unusual’ Virus Features

While National Geographic is busy trying to further bolster Fauci’s reputation, they — and most other media outlets — are ignoring disturbing facts showing that Fauci knows much more about SARS-CoV-2’s manmade potential than he is letting on. Just how deep his involvement and knowledge runs has yet to be determined.

One of the first major pieces of propaganda is “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2,”⁶ a paper published in Nature Medicine in March 2020 that became the preeminent “proof” that SARS-CoV-2 had a natural origin and couldn’t possibly have come from a lab.

Fauci, along with Wellcome Trust head Jeremey Farrar and Dr. Francis Collins, NIH director, had a hand in the paper, as one of its authors wrote a March 6, 2020 email to the trio and colleagues, thanking them for their “advice and leadership.”⁷

Prior to this virologist Kristian Andersen — one of the authors of the Proximal paper — emailed Fauci January 31, 2020, cc’ing Farrar, stating, “The unusual features of the virus make up a really small part of the genome (<0.1%) so one has to look really closely at all the sequences to see that some of the features (potentially) look engineered.”⁸

The next day, February 1, 2020, a conference call was organized by Fauci and Farrar “to address several aspects of the SARS-CoV-2 genome that pointed towards an artificial origin, by means of generating adaptive changes through passaging and/or direct manipulation of the genome.”⁹

Fauci hasn’t acted alone, but he’s been one of the most prominent faces behind what could amount to one of the greatest lies of all time. Yet, his expertise has been held as indisputable by mainstream media since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to be elevated by propaganda pieces like National Geographic’s documentary.

Fauci as the Incarnate of Science Itself

Fauci has spread the notion that he is untouchable, going so far as to tell MSNBC that an attack on him is an attack on science:¹⁰

“It’s very dangerous … because a lot of what you’re seeing as attacks on me quite frankly are attacks on science, because all of the things that I have spoken about consistently from the very beginning, have been fundamentally based on science.”

Throughout the pandemic, “trusting the science” has become a cultural statement and propaganda tool — far from what true science is all about. The pandemic response has largely eroded public trust in science, and rather than acting to protect public health, as his duty required, Fauci sprang to action to protect himself.

Charles Rixey, a COVID-19 analyst who combed through 100,000 pages of FOIA documents and reviewed more than 1,000 research articles, believes this erosion of trust came at the hands of Fauci, writing on Prometheus Shrugged:¹¹

“Fauci quietly but directly ensured that scientific censorship was implemented, in large measure, to prevent public awareness of the extent of his role in GOF [gain-of-function] research and the controversies surrounding it. The evidence proves that, at the start of the pandemic, Dr. Fauci and many leading scientists moved to protect themselves — not us, who weren’t yet aware of the potential calamity at our doorstep.

Fauci LED the efforts to obstruct research into COVID’s origins, colluding with the President’s Science Advisor Kelvin Droegemeier and Wellcome Trust head Jeremy Farrar, to proactively undermine consideration of the evidence that directly tied their global research initiatives to the lab at the center of the COVID-19 pandemic.

To date, all of their efforts have been focused on preventing disclosure of embarrassing connections — not preventing another novel pathogen from sparking a global pandemic; to prevent future scrutiny, not future tragedy.”

The Government Is Held Hostage by Fauci

Fauci’s opinions are held so highly by the public that if the government were to go against his statements, backlash would ensue. This enables him to use his platform to push questionable COVID-19 policies.

“He’s a human being, not a God, and he’s never been elected for anything … The more he’s turned into a living god, the more all of our institutions will be held hostage by him,” Enjeti said.¹² A prime example took place October 4, 2021, when Fauci said it was “too soon” to tell whether Americans could safely celebrate Christmas together.

He told CBS News’ “Face the Nation,” “It is just too soon to tell. We have to concentrate on continuing to get those numbers down and not try to jump ahead by weeks or months and say what we’re going to do at a particular time.”¹³

The statements, which were not backed by any science, were blasted on social media, with Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., stating, “No one elected Fauci to be Christmas Czar,” and Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., adding, “Fauci has lost all credibility with the American people. We aren’t waiting on his permission to celebrate Christmas together.”¹⁴

National Geographic Is Rewarding Fauci’s Lies

By elevating Fauci to hero status in their documentary, National Geographic is supporting the suppression of science and promoting the lies. As Enjeti said:¹⁵

“… Nat Geo is doing a documentary hailing Dr. Fauci after he literally lied on their platform. They are rewarding him, with effectively billions of dollars in free representational defense, but what’s even worse than that — what’s worse — is that they are actually proving one of Fauci’s most infamous moments, in which he declared that an attack on Fauci is an attack on science itself.”

The documentary will only further Fauci’s power, burying the reality that he’s lied to the American people. Richard Ebright, board of governors professor of chemistry and chemical biology at Rutgers University and laboratory director at the Waksman Institute of Microbiology, said that additional documents released by a FOIA lawsuit show without doubt that grants from the NIH were used to fund GOF research at WIV, and that Fauci lied about it:¹⁶

“The documents make it clear that assertions by the NIH director, Francis Collins, and the NIAID director, Anthony Fauci, that the NIH did not support gain-of-function research or potential pandemic pathogen enhancement in Wuhan are untruthful.”

The more the suppression of science is celebrated and promoted, the further we get from actually learning the truth. Enjeti said:¹⁷

“Fauci’s status as a hero has precluded many honest conversations in media around what is acceptable pandemic response. And the more he is venerated, celebrated, the more power he yields within the government — that is bad for science.

It is actually bad for anyone who is actually looking for answers as to the question of what exactly went down in the Wuhan Institute of Virology. What role did Dr. Anthony Fauci play? What role did the National Institutes of Health play?”

Fauci’s Increasingly Encroaching on Your Personal Liberties

If Fauci is allowed further control over the pandemic response, your personal liberties will likely continue to be eroded. When asked whether he would support vaccine mandates for airline travel, Fauci told theSkimm, “I would support that if you want to get on a plane and travel with other people that you should be vaccinated.”¹⁸

He also stated, in an interview with Meet the Press, that “nothing has been taken off the table” when it comes to domestic air travel vaccine mandates.¹⁹

Despite Fauci’s many inconsistencies and outright lies during the pandemic — such as denying that the NIAID funded coronavirus research WIV²⁰ — he still hasn’t been arrested and he still has a job, former Texas Congressman Ron Paul noted in his September 20, 2021 Liberty Report.²¹

“You’d think that his flip-flopping would call attention to his ineptness,” Paul said, adding that Fauci is partners with Bill Gates and the deep state is clearly on his side. If he stays in power, and his reputation continues to be bolstered by propaganda like National Geographic’s documentary, you can expect more of the same:²²

“Fauci changes his mind every once in a while, only in words, never in actions. His actions have been very consistent. More government, more intimidation, more of elimination of personal liberties and personal decisions. So that’s going to continue. I don’t see how it could be improved unless they have somebody replace him. Some day that will happen.”
