On the flip side of the bad news, the positive story of the library in Liverpool

Something CAN be done about it: Man the Solver – part two

by Steve Cook

During the recent orchestrated “unrest” in the UK, some morons were hired to set light to a library in Liverpool so as to add to a few torched cars which the media was using in its inimitable fashionto make it appear that the whole UK was “in flames”.

Of course, the UK wasn’t “in flames” at all despite the lurid media headlines but that didn’t help the library targeted for some dramatic torching.

The Spellow Hub Library in Liverpool had reopened as a community hub in 2023 after a makeover. It was designed to offer training and opportunities in one of the UK’s most deprived areas.

Then it got soft-targeted by some psycho during this year’s brief flurry of “unrest” and suffered extensive damage. You’ll notice that, by a amazing coincidence, it was a poor area that lost its library, not a posh one.

After a few days, the “unrest” died down due to lack of popular support and the media found some other made-up  bad news to hit people with. The plebs living in one of the country’s poorest areas were left with one  less connection to literacy and culture.

And so it might have remained had not one avid book lover decided to do something about it: Alex McCormick, started a GoFundMe campaign to help rebuild the library.

The initial target was a modest £500, but donations poured in from over 6,000 people in just two days.

In the end, the campaign raised over £250,000. Not bad going in a country impoverished by the ineptitude and corruption of its political “elite”.

The moral of this story is that for every brain-dead loon determined to ruin life and living for everybody else, there are ten thousand good people determined to raise a decent civilisation fit for sane human beings to live in.

The merchants of dismay operating your media of course work hard to advertise and  fixate your attention upon the loons. The good guys, despite being the vast majority of human beings, are edited out.

But of course the engineers of fear and chaos are degenerate crooks and perverts who will always try to  lower the tone and morale of  the community.

And we don’t have to let them decide what we are going to put our attention on.

Putting it on the proliferating positives so despised by your would-be enslavers, is the route to creating a better world.

The story of the library in Liverpool, on the flipside of the bad news handed you by the media headlines, is one such proliferating positive.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
