Principles of Benign Governance, Part Four

Creating a government for all the people

by Fabian Ubiquitus

Continuing the search for the basic principles and guiding agreements for a government designed and run for all the people.

OBSERVATION

There are two fundamental concepts of government. Summarised very briefly, they are:

(A) The notion that the people should serve their government. This idea is ancient and has been the prevailing notion for millennia. It is a think that pervades the political elite to this day.

(B) The notion that a government should serve the people. This is a relatively new idea. It has gained traction and been at war with the first notion for a while.

PRINCIPLE

Notion (A) is cancelled.

It is herewith and henceforth established as an inviolable principle and both agreed upon and demanded by we, The People, that the government’s role and  function is to serve the people. By “serve the people” is meant to assist and help them live better, happier, more tolerable lives and to remove from the environment all factors and influences that  bar or inhibit the living of better, happier and more tolerable lives.

Government is henceforth considered to be  an organisational entity set up by the people to provide practical administration so as to organise and coordinate their efforts to live better, happier and more tolerable lives.

Any and all laws, edicts, enactments and orders of any kind that violate this principle are unlawful and invalid.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
