Purpose: The Breakfast Of Champions

Purpose: The Breakfast Of Champions

Commentary by TLB Staff Writer: Lucille Femine

I’ve learned a lot in my recent life about purpose, mostly through my religion and prayer. I’m not talking about a particular religion. All good religions and prayer are essential to life; without them we are barbaric.

You can choose not to believe that because a big part of religion is tolerance of others’ differences. That’s quite a challenge in this world of certain people ripping each other’s heads off for no good reasons, all invented.

It also points out how religion and government are so closely linked, a wise decision. At least that’s the way it started out in this country. And there’s no reason we can’t revive all that goodness. How long does a soulless, godless government last? They thrive on wars and perish at their own hand.

I used to think that purpose is to be a doctor, an accountant, a judge, etc. If you look deeper and really examine what would make you happy, you would find those things to be shallow and lacking something, like an artificial rose.

I’ll give myself as an example. I’ve been a painter all my life. I really enjoy it and sold many paintings. I felt I really knew why I was painting – enjoyment and peace of mind while I made a living. And a fair amount of praise and approval from others. But all that didn’t add up to the truth. There was a knawing emptiness inside and a mystery as to why I felt so unfulfilled.

A few days ago while I sat with no thoughts about this, just a quiet moment, I saw with a blast of awareness something which resulted from my studies about our true nature and desires. It went much deeper than what I thought before.

It’s really very basic, in one form or another, to all of us. But we have to be silent enough to perceive it, to let go of the false self which feeds us all the wrong reasons to follow a path.

In my own words, for me my purpose is to put joy in the world. And if you look at that general purpose, it could mean any vocation, right? A janitor can bring joy if that is what’s in his heart. I’m just saying that for me personally, I chose art to fulfill my true purpose. But it is not the senior goal, just a servant.

So for me, this real purpose takes it out of the world of shallow meaning.

In other words, what are those superficial aims doing for others? I’m not talking about sacrificing oneself. That lie has been fed to us for centuries of others promoting body fulfillment alone. I’m sure they are thinking that others exist only to do them in. So why help them?

In their hearts, they know they are unfulfilled themselves and thrust that upon others who don’t deserve to be happy if they are not. Sort of an insane logic.

Psychiatrists are especially prone to this viewpoint: you have no soul and the only way out is to follow the rules of the government and what your high school counselor told you what job you should do in life. And if you have trouble with that, he has plenty of drugs to take. They will numb you to the pain of having an empty life.

I offer this to you today because we are at the crux of spiritual freedom while evil works harder than ever to destroy us.

The world as we know it doesn’t exist anymore. This ignorance alone will destroy us. We exist in a worse matrix than we saw in the movie.

Look deeper and find what you truly want beyond material needs and financial security. Beyond simply your needs and your family’s. You’ll find who you truly are.

The best part is this will make you truly powerful and happy. There’ll be no room for anxiety or fear.

One last thing I can say to sum this up is that love is the catalyst to freedom.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
