Through a Glass, and Darkly

So I get up this morning, fix coffee, turn on the news, then fire up my computer. I scroll through the news articles and run across an article posted by Jerry Patterson. [Pictured rt] The jest of the article was from 2015 and it accused Trump of exaggerating the facts of 9/11. He went on to say Trump was a Liar when it comes to Muslims and their celebrations of their actions to take down the Twin Towers.

Let me be clear, When a former Republican Politician comes out and makes statements like this, after endorsing Democrat Politicians in the last election cycle, I seriously have to start questioning their motives. At one time, I had a lot of respect for this man, maybe too much respect.

I joined the Marine Corps back when Iran had our hostages in 1979 under the delayed entry program and I remember exactly what I was doing on 9/11. I remember watching playbacks of that first plane flying into the twin towers and watching that second plane live, I remember the flight that went down in Pennsylvania when the people on that plane refused to be victims and brought it down before it reached it’s objective.

I remember watching the Muslims in New Jersey as reported by CNN and other MSM of that day doing just what many others before Trump said they were doing….

Celebrating what they called “a blow to the great satan.”

Their words.

They weren’t only celebrating here, they were celebrating in the Middle East.

For a Marine to say otherwise, brings serious doubts as to whether he ever deserved the respect we gave him in the first place. To get on here and deny what took place back then, dishonors all the men and women who died that day. It’s like they died in-vain. It’s like they died for no reason and we have forgotten what they went through on that day. I for one, will never forget. God forgives, It’s a Marine’s job to arrange the meeting. Enough already. I may not agree with everything Trump does or says, but I’m forced to defend him because of these type of Articles…Has the whole damn Republic of the United States lost their minds?
