Trump fumes at ‘moron’ Jerome Powell over interest rates
Trump further insisted that his tariffs would be effective both at raising revenue for the U.S. and encouraging allies to develop healthier economies.

President Donald Trump on Thursday again excoriated Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell over his hesitance to lower interest rates, marking the latest in a string of criticisms.
Powell became the subject of a federal criminal probe this year in connection with the renovation of the Federal Reserve building. He has called the investigation an act of pressure to convince him to resign. Trump has repeatedly suggested he could fire Powell, though his authority to do so remains the subject of debate.
“Jerome ‘Too Late’ Powell again refused to cut interest rates, even though he has absolutely no reason to keep them so high,” Trump said on Truth Social. “He is hurting our Country, and its National Security. We should have a substantially lower rate now that even this moron admits inflation is no longer a problem or threat.”
“He is costing America Hundreds of Billions of Dollar a year in totally unnecessary and uncalled for INTEREST EXPENSE,” he went on. “Because of the vast amounts of money flowing into our Country because of Tariffs, we should be paying the LOWEST INTEREST RATE OF ANY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. Most of these countries are low interest rate paying cash machines, thought of as elegant, solid, and prime, only because the U.S.A. allows them to be.”
Trump further insisted that his tariffs would be effective both at raising revenue for the U.S. and encouraging allies to develop healthier economies.
“The Fed should substantially lower interest rates, NOW!” he concluded. “Tariffs have made America strong and powerful again, far stronger and more powerful than any other Nation. Commensurate with this strength, both financial and otherwise, WE SHOULD BE PAYING LOWER INTEREST RATES THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Here’s an idea- instead of creating more taxes and things for us to pay for,
while having more things taken away from us, why not make actual investments in our country and the American people. You cannot get a return from something you make no investment in. The only things our gov uses our taxes to invest in are things that kill us. WE the PEOPLE pay for the tarriffs and WE the PEOPLE pay for every little thing gov does. When they go after people, that is our tax dollars hard at work. When they fail to investigate things that damn sure need investigation and something more than silence, that is our tax dollars hard at work. As far as other countries making their economies more healthy? Seriously?
WE are the only country on the planet that has no Universal Healthcare. After a century of the health effects from all the ways they have made their fortunes,
now we the people and our kids who all have asthma and a host of other maladies
yet have managed to build them an empire, are not downtrodden peasants for them to look down their nose at. Our country is being eaten from the inside out.
Caving to every last whim of those who put us in the poor house is suicide, with all due respect. They would do well to remember that without us, they would not have a pot to piss in.
