Trump Weighs in On Plans to Run for President in 2024 with Gov. Ron DeSantis

Former President Donald Trump weighs in on whether he would run with Governor Ron DeSantis for the presidency in 2024.

“Are Melania and Barron on board with a possible run again in two and a half years?” Newsmax’s Rob Finnerty asked in a one-on-one interview.

“They love our country and they hate to see what’s happening,” Trump replied. “So, at the right time, I’ll be saying what I want to do, but they do. They love our country. Both. Barron’s a young man. And Melania is a First Lady who is really loved. I will say that she, I see the signs. We love our First Lady, but they love our country. So I think they’ll do what has to be done.

“Could you envision a world where there is a Trump DeSantis ticket in 2024?” Finnerty asked.

“Well, I get along with him,” Trump replied. “I was very responsible for his success, because I endorsed him and he went up like a rocket ship.”

Donald Trump’s come amid media attempts to drive a wedge between the former president and the current Florida governor.

In January, Axios ran an unsourced reported that Donald Trump was ‘trashing’ Governor Ron DeSantis behind closed doors.

“Donald Trump is trashing Ron DeSantis in private as an ingrate with a ‘dull personality’ and no realistic chance of beating him in a potential 2024 showdown, according to sources who’ve recently talked to the former president about the Florida governor,” Jonathan Swan reported.

“In the context of the 2024 election, he usually gives DeSantis a pop in the nose in the middle of that type of conversation,” the report added.

Trump and DeSantis were spotted talking together at a wedding at Mar-a-Lago in April.

Trump has at times claimed credit for DeSantis’s 2018 successful run for governor as a longshot primary challenger to then better-known Republican Adam Putnam. Since then, DeSantis has skyrocketed to the top tier of potential 2024 contenders, due in large part to his impressive management of Florida’s Covid pandemic challenges.

Separately, each represent strong and distinct visions for America moving forward from the unmitigated disaster of Democratic management of the country.

Donald Trump is a bold, but provocative leader who would take decisive action to course correct from the Biden years. Ron DeSantis is a skilled executive whose smooth and understated demeanor could calm the nation down, while still getting a lot done — paring back the bureaucracy, steadying the economy, and fighting the culture wars.

Each candidate could win the 2024 election in his own right. Together, they might be unstoppable.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
