Veteran state trooper Fired for refusing Covid jab, signs off for last time by telling governor to ‘KISS MY ASS’
A veteran Washington state trooper used his last moments on the job to tell the governor whose Covid-19 vaccine mandate essentially ended his career to “kiss my ass,” striking a nerve in a nation divided over jab authoritarianism.
(RT-USA News) A viral video of the unidentified trooper began circulating on social media on Saturday, showing him signing off to his dispatcher for the last time while sitting in his patrol car. “This is my final signoff, and after 22 years of serving the citizens of the state of Washington, I’ve been asked to leave because I am dirty,” the officer said.
The trooper didn’t specify what he meant by “dirty,” but Seattle radio host Jason Rantz, who has booked an interview with the man, said he had been fired for defying Governor Jay Inslee’s Covid-19 vaccine mandate. Inslee ordered in August that Washington’s state employees and contractors be fully vaccinated by October 18 or face termination. The order marked one of the most stringent such mandates in the nation.

The state trooper recounted some of the difficulties he’s gone through on the job, such as dealing with numerous fatalities and injuries. “I’ve worked sick, I’ve played sick, we’ve buried lots of friends over these years,” he said.
The officer added: “I’d like to thank you guys, I’d like to thank the citizens of Yakima County, as well as my fellow officers within the valley. Without you guys, I wouldn’t have been very successful, and you kept me safe and got me home to my family every night. Thank you for that. I wish I could say more, but this is it.”

The statement was a true mic-drop moment, as the officer literally dropped his radio microphone after making his statement. After a short pause, the dispatcher replied by thanking the trooper for his service and noting some of his accomplishments.
“You’ve taken on many roles in your time with patrol,” she said emotionally. “In your first year, you delivered a baby while on patrol in Bremerton.” She listed several other duties the trooper had performed, such as being an instructor, “peer support” member and chaplain support officer. “You’ve been a great role model and mentor for all young troopers serving in the area by sharing your knowledge and experience throughout the years,” the dispatcher said. “Thank you for your service.”
As the radio went quiet, the trooper turned to the camera, shrugged and said, “That’s it.”
Reaction to the video showed how divisive the issue of vaccine mandates has become. As mainstream media outlets have noted, a “culture war” over vaccine mandates has intensified since President Joe Biden ordered in September that US businesses with more than 100 employees must force their workers to get jabbed.
Some social media users cheered the Washington patrolman’s firing, saying his anti-vaccine stance put the public at risk. “If he can’t be vaccinated for the good of all, then he long ago lost the thread of how first responders are supposed to help people, not endanger them,” one Twitter commenter said. “Those of us who do actually care are tired of this sort of obstinance.”
