Zelensky – Europe’s Newest Dictator Covering for Biden Corruption in Ukraine
The latest wave of political prosecutions by Kiev will only further the rampant theft and corruption by state officials, leading to more dysfunction in the country.

As the intensity continues to mount around the possible impeachment of the current U.S. President Joe Biden, Ukrainian authorities haven’t wasted any time tying-up any remaining loose ends which could potentially lead back to Pennsylvania Avenue.
The past month in Kiev has seen yet another wave lawfare, waged against the very individuals who dared to conducted their own independent investigations into the corrupt affairs of the Biden family syndicate in Ukraine, and to share that information with the world.
The latest target is journalist and former Rada parliamentarian, Oleksandr Dubinsky, who was recently been arrested and charged with treason by Zelensky’s judiciary.

Like Andre Derkach before him, Dubinsky’s crime was that he was not afraid to tell the world about the scandal he helped to uncover.
Cynical onlookers might see this latest purge by the Ukrainian judiciary as a quid pro quo favor to the Biden administration for its seemingly inexhaustible military and financial support to the Zelensky government in its open-ended war against Russia, and all at the expense of the U.S. taxpayer. However, based on the trajectory of overall corruption in conflict-ridden Ukraine, this latest wave of political prosecutions by Kiev will only further the rampant theft and corruption by state officials, leading to more dysfunction in the country.
Zelensky’s beleaguered regime
The evolution of the public administration of President Volodymyr Zelensky is not a one unique in history: a typical open-ended ‘wartime’ regime that’s been given license to attack long-standing institutions like the press, the church, and any opposition parties, and effectively suspend fundamental democratic checks and balances. Since 2022, it’s been a state apparatus awash with foreign cash, and completely beholden to its foreign sponsors, which has turned the corner on the path to dictatorship.
From the moment his presidential campaign was launched, Zelensky crafted a brilliant narrative which garnered widespread public appeal, beginning with the promise to fight corruption and cronyism in government, reestablish equality of all before the law, and win back the trust of the people. These were among the core planks in the manifesto of his new “Servant of the People” party. But it wasn’t long before Zelensky’s audacious populist campaign promises soon turned into a nightmare, festering under the long dark shadow cast by Washington’s increasing influence over Kiev’s internal affairs, and has long since descended into a systematic series of violations of the country’s stated democratic principles.
As it stands, Ukraine no longer has freedom of speech, and persecution of political opponents by the Zelensky government continues unabated, all with the full approval of its sponsors in Washington DC. In Zelensky’s Ukraine, unwanted dissenting media outlets are routinely shut down, and journalists apprehended, and in some cases, jailed. Spoken languages have been divided into authorized and unauthorized – leaving many millions of Russian-speaking residents afraid to speak freely in their mother tongue. Also, parishioners of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) are now persecuted, after the state banned their activities and closed its churches, including the government confiscation of church property, and even preventing UOC priests from conducting religious services.

These sort of authoritarian moves by the state would be loudly decried were they to take place in any other country, but this is just one example of the incredible double standard which exists when it comes to US and NATO nation treatment of the Zelensky regime in Kiev.
The same level of rank hypocrisy is applied to so-called ‘anti-corruption’ efforts in Ukraine, a portfolio which is closely monitored and managed by US interests that are embedded throughout the country’s institutional structures. This brings us to the next target for the Ukrainian authorities, Oleksandr Dubinsky, a well-known journalist and representative of the Ukrainian parliament, who publicized and substantiated two crucial data points in the investigation into Biden family corruption in Ukraine. These are the bombshell audio recordings of 2015-2016 phone conversations between Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko known as “The Derkach Tapes” which have been shown to be authentic.
The second point is equally if not more explosive: the party behind their leak and distribution tracks back to… the Office of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Moreover, before being sent to the pre-trial detention center on 13 November, Dubinsky made a statement that could be the last straw for the Ukrainian authorities. During his broadcast, Dubinsky suggested that the audience should ask themselves: how audio recordings of conversations conducted through the most secure special communications could have unexpectedly left the President’s Office and would somehow eventually reached one of the investigators into corruption in Ukraine, which turned out to be MP Andriy Derkach?
Derkach would subsequently make the tapes public, but it’s of particular interest that Dubinsky point to the fact that the leaked recordings happened during Zelensky’s presidency – at a moment when he appeared to be settling some old scores with Poroshenko.

According to Dubinsky, it became the story of the infamous Derkach Tapes was not a double game involving foreign intelligence agencies, but rather a purely political game within the Ukrainian state power structure, specifically by Volodymyr Zelensky and Andryi Yermak. Needless to say, the Office of the President could not forgive Dubinsky for leveling such accusations, and which led to an expedites overnight court hearing on 13 November, which resulted in Dubinsky being incarcerated in a pre-trial detention center.
To make matters considerably worse, over the weekend of December 2, 2023, Dubinsky was reportedly the victim of a violent attack while still in custody awaiting trial for treason. According to testimony from his lawyers, a beating took place in pre-trial detention, where unknown persons physically assaulted the MP, causing numerous serious injuries.
The incident underlines the seriousness of the situation, and the high-stakes geopolitical affair in which Dubinsky has found himself embroiled in.
Now let’s reestablish some key facts of this case…
Who is Oleksandr Dubynsky
Oleksandr Dubinsky is a Ukrainian MP and a person privy to some particular damning information regarding the illicit activities of some of Ukraine’s top politicians, as well as their relations with some U.S. agents of influence.
Over the years, Dubinsky, through the Servant of the People Party, has been close to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and also the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak. As an investigative journalist, Dubinsky has also conducted a series of his own investigations into corruption scandals involving leading politicians, as well as Ukrainian companies. Indeed, it was Dubinsky himself who was one of the participants in a series of press conferences held by fellow Ukrainian parliamentarian, Andriy Derkach, where sensational evidence about the corruption and influence peddling of Biden family syndicate in Ukraine was first revealed in a public forum. This not only made Dubinsky a target of the Ukrainian deep state, but also a problem for the ruling establishment in Washington DC.

The relationship between Dubinsky and Zelensky was clearly severed in early 2021 after Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election and the U.S. imposed sanctions against Dubinsky, allegedly ‘interfering’ in the U.S. electoral process. While the charged are spurious and politically motivated, they have been effective in isolating Dubinsky and preparing him for this phase of Washington’s tying-up of loose ends from what appears to have been a free-for-all of corruption in Ukraine during Biden VP tenure during two terms of President Obama.
Today, Dubinsky openly maintains that the highest level of state officials in Ukraine gave him direct instructions to publish and legitimize the scandalous audio recordings which featured the unmistakable voices of both Joe Biden and Petro Poroshenko. This appears to have triggered the Ukrainian judiciary, under instructions from Washington, to begin hastily looking for any opportunity to not only stop these revelations from being widely disseminated, but also to do everything within its power to discredit the evidence and the messengers who brought these revelations to light.
Later in August, the proverbial noose began to tighten on Dubinsky, when he was subject to the first of many searches, after the Prosecutor General informed him he was under suspicion due to improper registration of his business trips abroad. However, these actions still did not stop the public activity of the MP. In early November he was then charged with a new bureaucratic infringement – this time for helping his wife’s relative to travel abroad, where the court sentenced Dubinsky to 24-hour house arrest, and ordered him to wear an electronic bracelet. In hindsight, those charges against Dubinsky may have seemed frivolous, if not ridiculous, but they were necessary for the state to then conduct series of intrusive searches at Dubinsky’s home, and also at the homes of his assistants.
Given the fact that for many years, the main ‘dirt’ on Dubinsky could have been his work for disgraced Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, it’s surprising that his name does not appear in relation to any charges relating to those activities.
All of this points to the conclusion that Dubinsky is the victim of political takedown.
In mid-November, events around Dubinsky began to unfold at an accelerated pace. Perhaps his unwillingness to “shut up” and come to an agreement with Zelensky’s Office of the President caused Washington to up the ante, where the release of plummeting polls numbers and new evidence against Joe Biden (serious accusations of receiving substantial funds and the summoning of his son and brother Jim Biden to the House Oversight Committee) were clearly undermining the position the Biden administration. As a consequence, the Ukrainian authorities tightened the screws on Dubinsky. On November 13, he was accused of participating in a Russian agent network, leading to the serious charge of treason against the Ukrainian state. The official reason given was his participation in the very same press conference, “New facts about international corruption, Burisma, and the scheme to bring Ukraine to bankruptcy,” held by Dubinsky and Derkach in 2019.
Dubinsky could face up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property on new charges.
Even more dubious, Ukrainian authorities are now calling his many years of work exposing international and domestic corruption as nothing more than “discrediting the image of Ukraine in the international arena.” Clearly, under Zelensky, the Ukrainian state has taken a disturbing authoritarian turn.
Dubinsky himself commented on these events, explaining why the story concocted by Ukrainian authorities is a fabrication:
“[The story is] a lie based on nothing, the purpose of which is to somehow explain the political persecution of a sitting MP, whose entire guilt is that he dared to tell the truth about corruption and unprofessionalism of the Yermak-Zelensky gang. I believe that this case is a revenge of Yermak-Zelensky for the testimony I gave to the NABU about the involvement of them and a number of other top officials of the state in the activities of Derkach, and the attempt to legalize the tapes with the votes of Biden-Poroshenko through the creation of a special investigative commission of the Parliament…. I am ready to provide all the details of this case to journalists of Ukrainian and international publications. I will demand open and public consideration of the case, because I have nothing to hide and fear.”
In addition to this, on the evening of November 13th when the court was deciding his pre-trial detention, Dubinsky publicly mentioned journalist Tucker Carlson, who he believed, “will not be afraid to cover the topic of political persecution of the only politician and former journalist in Ukraine who spoke about the corruption of Ukraine’s top officials and the facts of embezzlement of U.S. financial aid….in which deputies of the Servants of the People and officials of the Office of the President are involved.”
Dubinsky continued, saying that, “I am the only one talking about this corruption, which is confirmed by numerous facts and journalistic investigations, and it is for this that they want to put me in a pre-trial detention center on yet another trumped-up charge. By joining efforts, we can reveal to the world the truth about the gang of swindlers who have taken over Ukraine. To reveal the Ugly Truth, which Yermak and Zelensky are trying to hide.”
Why Dubinsky is dangerous for Biden
Based on his harsh treatment and questionable charges against him, it seems that Oleksandr Dubynsky poses a serious threat to the Democratic Party leadership and their proxies in Ukraine. In his numerous statements, the Ukrainian parliamentarian not only confirmed the full authenticity and source of the Derkach Tapes, but also why the tapes are considered radioactive in Kiev and Washington.
The evidence can not only derail a second Biden term, but and of his Ukrainian political associates. Let’s remind ourselves of the content of their conversations: interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election on the side of Hillary Clinton, provoking the criminal prosecution of Paul Manafort, and Biden ordering the groundless dismissal of Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin. Indeed, it was Shokin who came dangerously close to Biden in the investigation of the Burisma cases, as well and Biden’s interest in the nationalization of Privatbank and the Ukrainian energy sector.
Consider the timing of the current prosecution of Dubinsky – right after the release of all the defendants in the Burisma case – is just another confirmation of the importance of the tapes and other information which Derkach and Dubinsky released into the public domain.
Dubinsky himself stated on November 2:
“I will insist on cross-examination between me and Zelensky, between me and Yermak, [Serhiy] Shefir, and Kyrylo Tymoshenko. Because these people were present in the Office of the President during the issuance of, in my opinion, illegal and threatening to national security instructions to legitimize the tapes with Biden’s and Poroshenko’s voices, which were published later by Derkach. I have spoken about this publicly, it is certainly not disclosing the secrecy of the investigation, but I have submitted the relevant petition to the State Bureau of Investigation and demand that it finally start investigating.”
In August, Dubynsky was not afraid to make a similar statement during his testimony before the U.S. and Democrat-controlled ‘anti-corruption’ body in Ukraine known as NABU (the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine).
According to Dubinsky, he “told [NABU] in detail how the country’s top officials – Zelensky, Yermak and others – gave instructions to publish and legalize tapes that show recorded voices similar to those of President Poroshenko and U.S. Vice President Biden.”
“I can not disclose the secrecy of the investigation, but I reported to the investigator how meetings took place in the official premises of the Office of the President [Zelensky], unofficial meetings with the highest officials of the state, what recommendations were given to me on the coverage of tapes, materials, statements of Derkach, on the legalization of these materials that were made public, and on the creation of a temporary investigative commission to investigate the tapes with voices similar to those of Biden and Poroshenko,” explained Dubinsky.
“My communication with Derkach was authorized by the highest officials of the state of Ukraine, at their urgent requests, recommendations and advice,” Dubinsky emphasized in August, and also said that he testified with evidence “on Zelensky, Yermak, Shefir and other ‘comrades’.”
It should be noted that everything Dubinsky claims is not a secret in Ukraine, and has been confirmed by other sources. However, these incredible revelations have been systematically censored in the U.S. media. In particular, the online publication Strana.ua confirms that in 2019-2020 in Zelensky’s entourage there was indeed a very active discussion about whether to give the go-ahead to pursue the corruption case involving Hunter Biden. Part of his entourage supported such an idea (Igor Kolomoisky), the other part was against it (namely, the then Prosecutor General Ryaboshapka). The Strana.ua report also draws attention to the fact that in May and summer of 2020, when Andriy Derkach published the tapes – the Ukrainian authorities did not take any action against him. On the contrary, the “servants of the people” even proposed to create an investigative commission in Parliament on the tapes… with the aim of discrediting Poroshenko. But Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election forced Zelensky’s office to hastily abandon its plans. That was the moment when Oleksandr Dubinsky became a target of both Kiev and Washington.
Likewise, Andriy Derkach would also became a person of interest at this time, soon to be targeted by the U.S. and Ukrainian government for daring to conduct his own independent investigation into external influence on Ukrainian affairs by Joe Biden and his coterie who would then use the opportunity to try and finish-off yesterday’s rival, Petro Poroshenko. The inept actions of Zelensky’s office would provide the impetus for Derkach to publicize the information he had obtained, as he was not afraid the let the world know about large-scale corruption schemes and influence peddling by the Bidens in Ukraine.

Dubinsky & economic crimes of democrat proxies in Ukraine
The case with audio recordings of conversations between the two presidents is not the first investigation, which drew attention to Dubinsky on the part of the Democratic Party establishment in the United States. It was Dubinsky who proved the existence of a scheme in which Ukrainian officials, supported by Biden, were left to manage the Ukrainian economy, where they became involved in a range of illicit activities, including money laundering and a massive financial scandal involving a multi-billion dollar government bond operation.
Back in 2019, Dubinsky attempted to create a temporary investigative commission in the Ukrainian parliament in order “to investigate international corruption involving top government officials.”
At that time, Dubinsky proposed to investigate the activities of the National Bank of Ukraine and the Ministry of Finance, which were headed by White House protégés Valeria Gontareva and Natalia Jaresko. In addition, “other illegal actions committed under the influence of international factors and as a result of illegal lobbying by individual representatives of international organizations and foreign governments” were to be investigated. According to Dubinsky, it was about investigating a scheme under which “debts of more than 100 billion dollars were imposed on Ukrainian citizens” as a result of an unjustified piling-up of Ukrainian foreign debt.
During his initial investigation into the withdrawal of funds by former President Viktor Yanukovych, Dubinsky had stumbled upon the illegal activities of Gontareva and Yaresko (both regarded as ‘close friends’ of regime change architect and then Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Victoria Nuland). Here he discovered the connection of this money and the Ukrainian energy firm Burisma. At that point, Dubinsky would join his efforts with Andriy Derkach – the man who had made the Burisma case the key to uncovering international corruption syndicate of the Biden family.
At their joint press conference, Derkach and Dubinsky released a number of key pieces of evidence, including details of Burisma’s owner Mykola Zlochevsky, who was withdrawing the company’s money through financial institutions in the Baltic States. In the same way, he was also withdrawing Yanukovych’s money. “It was a global operation: first to steal money from the Ukrainian budget, then to withdraw the money to offshore, and then back to invest in Ukrainian government bonds. In the cases of both the Yanukovych and Poroshenko, the investment of stolen funds was carried out by the former chairman of the National Bank, Valeria Gontareva, and companies controlled by her,” Dubinsky said at the press conference.
Despite the explosive nature of this corruption scandal, there was an effective media blackout in both the U.S. and Ukrainian mainstream media.
Biden settles the score with Dubinsky
Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 US presidential election meant that any Ukrainian whistleblowers would all be dealt with. Part of this effort to neutralize any potential problems were U.S. sanctions that were placed on Dubinsky and others – imposed by the U.S. Treasury Department and State Department. With respect to Dubinsky, this was done a week before Biden’s inauguration. Why?
Due to the ‘spoils system’ in the U.S., an incoming president will bring many new staff, and a largely new cabinet (subject to Senate confirmation), ideally appointing people they trust. Apparently, U.S. officials in the outgoing Trump administration decided to assist the incoming Biden government by satisfying his “wants” even before the inauguration, perhaps hoping to keep their posts. Therefore, together with Dubinsky in January 2021, ex-prosecutor Kostyantyn Kulik, along with former employee of the Ukrainian Embassy in the U.S., Andriy Telizhenko, and several other people who helped Derkach to uncover Biden’s criminal activities in Ukraine – all came under sanctions.
The sanctions against Oleksandr Dubinsky and Andriy Derkach, the unjustified termination of Viktor Shokin’s prosecutorial career, and the ousting of another prominent prosecutor, Kostyantyn Kulik, from the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine – are prime examples of how Joe Biden would take revenge on whistleblowers who threaten to expose Biden corruption in Ukraine.
Of course, there’s a massive double standard for any Ukrainian actors who may have seriously violated the law, but are favored by Biden interests. Over the past few months, the Ukrainian judicial system, controlled by the U.S. Democratic top brass, has made some hypocritical decisions, including releasing all the defendants involved in the biggest cash bribe in modern history; ex-minister and Burisma boss Mykola Zlochevsky, his chief lawyer Andriy Kicha, and one of the top officials of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, Mykola Ilyashenko, who tried to close all the cases involving the Burisma Holdings which Hunter Biden was directly involved with for five years.
Interestingly, the criminal case of Andriy Kobolev is falling apart. Kobolev is the former head of Naftogaz of Ukraine, who, together with Biden’s energy advisor Amos Hochstein, could tell us a lot about who exactly was behind the creation of a corrupt scheme of pseudo “reverse supplies” of European gas to Ukraine, and how exactly the scheme of funneling illicit financial proceeds offshore from the NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine was organized.
Thus, all potential witnesses of Biden’s corruption in Ukraine were suddenly found beyond the long arm of Ukrainian justice.

Conclusion
The current case of Oleksandr Dubinsky is a continuation of the harassment and persecution of the Ukrainian journalist who not only helped expose the corruption schemes of the Biden family and their associates in Ukraine, but also proved the authenticity and key evidence provided by another Ukrainian politician – Andriy Derkach.
In addition, we are witnessing a continued crackdown on anyone who tries to document and publicize any trace of Biden’s corruption in Ukraine. It’s unfortunate that the Zelensky regime is not doing this objectively and for the public good. Rather, it appears to be blackmailing the current U.S. President himself, demanding American money for Ukraine – in exchange for burying the evidence of Biden family corruption.
That is why at the meetings of the House Oversight Committee it is so important – to hear the key witnesses from Ukraine who have intimate knowledge of corruption involving Joe Biden. These witnesses would include the likes of Viktor Shokin, Kostyantyn Kulyk, Andriy Derkach, Andriy Telizhenko, and of course, Oleksandr Dubinsky.
Without their testimonies, the U.S. Congress will have to settle for relative bread crumbs – in the form of $40 thousand dollars here, or $200 thousand there, while Biden’s other others’ crimes in Ukraine are much more weighty, and very well-documented with irrefutable evidence.
