A world short of threats: making some up where none existed

How we wind up being oppressed "for our own good"

The Anarchist writer Mikhail Bakunin once wrote that, “war is the health of the state”.

Well, I’m nor sure I would use the word “health” in that context but I get what he was driving at.

The State sure loves a threat.

A threat justifies “emergency measures” and those “emergency measures” always “for our own good” mean more authoritarian power for the state over its citizens.

The two favourite threats are (a) a real, imagined or provoked hostile armed enemy (war) or (b) an epidemic –  real or convincing (made up).

So we have  our convincingly made up epidemic, courtesy of the globalist front men who have hijacked our government and this has evidently justified our loopy Prime Muppet, supplanting parliamentary democracy with rule-by-prime-ministerial edict.

His latest wheeze is the “Rule of Six”, by which he will keep us all safe from  the imaginary virus that has infected his brain.

Under this new rule which he has just made up, you no longer have the permission from him and his cronies to gather in groups of more than than six people. This is to stop you getting a disease with no symptoms or with symptoms suspiciously identical to those of a cold or similar seasonal bug.

The Cabinet office has produced some guidelines on the matter here [https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-meeting-with-others-safely-social-distancing/coronavirus-covid-19-meeting-with-others-safely-social-distancing,]entitled “Coronavirus (COVID-19): Meeting with others safely (social distancing)”.

If you take a look at them  they are presented as GUIDANCE although later in this “guidance” we are told:

“From 14 September – when the new rules apply – it will be against the law to meet people you do not live with in a group larger than 6 (unless you are meeting as a household or support bubble). The police will have the powers to enforce these legal limits, including to issue fines (fixed penalty notice) of £100, doubling for further breaches up to a maximum of £3,200.”

That’s guidance is it?

So apparently, “it will be against the law to meet people you do not live with in a group larger than 6 “.What law is that then and when was it passed after being debated and voted on in Parliament and then ratified by the Queen?

On the subject of demonstrations: exceptions to the rule of 6 (detailed on the FAQ page here[https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-outbreak-faqs-what-you-can-and-cant-do/coronavirus-outbreak-faqs-what-you-can-and-cant-do]) include:

“protests and political activities organised in compliance with COVID-19 secure guidance and subject to strict risk assessments”.

One can safely assume that the secure guidance and strict risk assessment will pretty much preclude organising any form of a demo.

And: “Anyone organising a gathering (such as a rave or house party) of more than 30 could face a £10,000 fine.”

So one can assume that further demos are going to be frowned upon with savage fines for the organisers.

This was predictable considering the number and scale of demonstrations against government’s COVID-justified oppression that have been occurring.

It is worth taking a look at the pages I mentioned. There you can witness the spectacle of the government listing out the minutiae of what you can and cannot do in your own social life and even your own home.

It has been said that the difference between an oppressive government and one that works for the people is this:

a) The more enlightened government will spell out what you must not do.

b) The oppressive government will spell out what you have permission to do.

Judging by the enforceable “guidelines” now being issued, Her Majesty’s Government is in the process of crossing the line from (a) to (b).

All it takes is talking up a fake epidemic and the government – it thinks – can get away with it.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
