Antidepressants: psychiatry’s monstrous kill-pills scam exposed

Intro

As we work to bring global human community and its members to freedom to rise to greater heights, we could greatly assist our efforts by eradicating the pseudo-science of psychiatry. In so doing we would remove key “scientific justifications” for  the oppression of humankind by Big Pharma through its determination to reduce every human being to a drug-riddled incapacitation.

This article by the stalwart, battle-hardened defender of human rights since its founding in 1969, CCHR, throws the light of understanding upon the monstrous antidepressants scam.

Safety of antidepressants under scrutiny again

Post published: 24th May 2023 by The Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) UK

The Daily Mail recently published an article which should have made headline news across the nationals. Its central claim was so staggering that, if nothing else, it should have sparked a national debate on the safety and effectiveness of SSRI antidepressants. The evidence presented should – and hopefully will – represent a significant nail in the coffin of this classification of drugs.

The article cited research carried out by the University of East London (UEL). The researchers “examined nearly 8,000 inquests that took place in England and Wales over the last two decades which mentioned [antidepressants].. They found that around half were definitively ruled to be suicides, demonstrating that antidepressants ‘clearly did not work’ for thousands of Brits.”

The article goes on to say: “one in eight deaths involved an overdose of antidepressants themselves, showing they can give ‘the mechanism for killing oneself’, according to lead author Dr John Read.”

While prescribing habits still embrace the antidepressant gravy train, the latest news adds to the ever-increasing pile of scrutiny that has exposed the paradoxical effects of the drugs. In July 2022, a conclusion from University College London (UCL) researchers became a global headline. They debunked the main theory underpinning SSRIs, concluding that “there is no convincing evidence’ to say depression is caused by an imbalance of the chemical serotonin.” This was discussed in a previous article on this site.

The list of 8000 inquests was compiled by a father who lost his son to suicide in 2009. Visitors to the website can search the database and do this painstaking work for themselves. The information can be found on  www.antidepaware.co.uk.

The UEL study also noted there were 2,239 overdoses, 933 of which involved antidepressants. The notion that SSRIs themselves can “do no harm” appears very tenuous.

This recent cascade revelation goes from bad to worse. Based on the research, SSRIs not only don’t work in the treatment of depression, but they cannot prevent a user from committing suicide.

Add to this the Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures for 2021, which reported on deaths related to drug poisoning in England and Wales. Deaths get counted when a drug is mentioned on the death certificate. The number of deaths in 2021 connected to antidepressants was 607, more than one death every day. Since 1993, the number of deaths was 13,254, which is also more than one death a day over that 28-year period. It’s staggering that so many deaths are linked to antidepressants yet the prescribing habits go unabated.

The dangers associated with this classification of psychiatric drugs are known. They’ve been known for decades. These appalling statistics, along with the studies from UCL and UEL, reflect badly upon prescribers who repeat the mantra that the benefits of antidepressants outweigh the risks.

If this information was made available to potential users at the point where they make an informed choice, it would probably be an entirely different story. It is testimony to the psychiatric and drug company spin doctors, whose impressive marketing techniques and propaganda have resulted in people continuing to take the drugs with the resultant fatalities.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
