The deplorable behaviour of Israeli troops in Gaza prompted this question: are Israeli troops being given psychiatric medication that increase aggression, block empathy and so forth.
The use of psych meds to enhance the performance of troops (increase aggression, reduce fear/empathy etc) is not new. The use of amphetamines by Japanese kamikaze pilots in WW2 is an early example and the use of Captagon by various fighting factions, such as ISIS, in the Middle East is a later example.
It seems likely that this use of psych meds to “enhance” troop performance has become more common as the years and wars roll by.

Meanwhile it would be useful to find out what psychiatric meds Israeli troops are being dosed with. Judging by their psychotic behaviour the likelihood that they are being drugged is, in our opinion, high.
