Being American & The Apple Doesn’t Fall Far From the Tree

On a more personal note … It has been many years since I have had a politically based discussion with my oldest daughter, something that rarely ever happens. Raquel lives well over a thousand miles away from me, and our conversations (due to our projects/jobs) are too few and far in between.
Well the other day while we were talking I indicated an interest in her opinion of the state of the Union (no not the speech LOL), and what I got stunned me! As I have said, political conversations between my daughters (I have 2) and myself were few and very far in between, so when I inquired out of the blue and after many years … NOT having any idea what to expect … This is what I got:

My Thoughts:
From what I have seen in our court system and the government alike, they turn the other cheek for the rich and powerful, but not for the people. And they let the decrepit of the lot continue on their merry green evil way.
So in other-words, as long as I’m a lying, thieving, back stabbing, hypocrite, with money mind you, I’ve got it made in this world. But if I’m a hard working lower or middle class busting my butt, and just being a true American, I’m going to be ridiculed and disgraced by my country and peers.
Look at O.J., look at Casey Anthony, look at Mark Zuckerman, look at Hillary Clinton, all committed major crimes and got away Scott-free! Hello! Wake the frig up people.
I seems like this is not OUR country at all anymore. I’m hard pressed lately to say God Bless America. I’m only in my mid 40’s, but from what I’ve seen growing up, each President does great at first and then piles on sh*t for the next candidate, so the jury is still out on Trump.
I’m a republican but I actually voted against Trump. I was upset when he won. BUT, he does not take anyone’s crap! He tells it as it is! Yes he is a loud mouth arrogant man but he has committed to and accomplished a lot more than what many others have done.
I’m surprised he has won in the courts to build the Wall, but the Wall is what we need. Far too many are currently taking advantage of the Land of the Free, hence the saying, ”IF IT’S FREE, ITS FOR ME !!!”. Take, Take, Take. That surely seems like the American way now. WTH…
In school, we used to learn about the struggle to make a community, a home, a land of prosperity. Many of all Nationalities came to America poor but vibrant, and eager to make something for themselves, something for US! Today that all seems to have evaporated.
Greed, corruption, tyranny, wars, control….this is the America of today.
Our children via Common Core are not being taught the truth in public schools today. The Pledge of Allegiances is gone…Stomped to the ground.
Take off your friggen horse blinders and open your damn eyes! Take out your ear plugs and listen!
If one cannot state in any sort of a positive fashion, what it means to be an American, then take it from Chef Ramsey and F*ck off!

When I saw this … I was floored!
Now mind you my question was not a “defining question”, no instructions of content or intent … Just a … “So what do you think” general type of question. Also understand that she (neither of them) are associated with TLB Project in any fashion, nor do we actually ever really discuss it. So when you read what was stated by her … and look at what I have been ranting about for years … It is truly not difficult to see that …
The apple did not fall far from the tree !!!
