[From NY it’s] SATURDAY NIGHT [no not LIVE, in Theaters]

I would have liked to have put this piece out back when the movie was in Theaters, may still be showing some places but gone from initial release numbers, but there were far more important things to discuss before the Election! And, truth be told, this was written in October after I came from the Theater after seeing it over on BeforeItsNews – so, reprising here on The Liberty Beacon for you all (so, yes, the (past, present, future) “tenses” will be a bit wonky (no, no Willy Wonka reference) while reading). And as a bit of a follow-up to my “Need To Keep A Sense-Of-Humor” piece from on TLB back in December of 2022 and quasi part 4 on/of all the Movies related pieces here-on from me….

I saw Saturday Night at my Local Theater today (Thu. Oct. 17th)… and frankly NOT IMPRESSED… I give it a D…. WHY???

Well, I grew up with the original Saturday Night Live and before all this current WOKE-tardism killing any/all #humor – back when we could all laugh at ourselves and others, not uptight all the time as Leftards all are today (and all Late-Night Shows today, include SNL, just Leftist attacks pretending to be Humor, occasional actual Funny Joke but mainly just excuse to peddle Leftard Propaganda and SPIN to aid/abet #CommieFasciSocies Left blend DeepStater, Insiders, Elitists, Coastal Snobs decrying you Logic, Reason, Common-Sense, Thinkers, in Fly-Over Country, get Elected (save GUTFELD! which still has guts enough to take pot-shots at ALL SIDES (they LOVE mocking Chris Christie still, over and over, about his Weight; as well as yes Brian Stelter and Deep Stater the Pigs on The P.U….. err…. The View)))!

We gotta keep a sense-of-humor or otherwise we’ll be curled up in a corner in fetal-position sucking our thumbs and crying all the time. Even with things so serious. I even have a COMIC RELIEF chapter in my Terror Strikes book to make that very point. No matter how serious all things around us, gotta be able to Laugh (AT OURSELVES, or no business Laughing at others).

So I was very interested to see the SATURDAY NIGHT movie. HOWEVER, just was not all that impressed with it. The Cast was OK, seemed they picked some good folks to Play the parts, but I just thought the Script and delivery weak. And, yes, turned the CUTTING EDGE FARE of then, to WOKE messaging now – of course: WOKE attacks on “People w/ Faith and Values” as I am a Christian then had ZERO ISSUE with CHURCH LADY all in GOOD FUN; though yes, they were counter-culture many Marxists trying to push-norms; now of course it isn’t in Fun it is all about HATE (seems perfectly fine now to HATE on JEWS and CHRISTIANS especially if White Male Straight). Cultural Marxist, Anti-American, try destroy our Judeo/Christian nation Foundations and our Founder’s Checks-and-Balances brilliance (related: Many don’t want History taught in U.S.Schools – might LEARN from Bradford Colony early fail (if full truth taught)….).

Yes, SOME CHRISTIANS sadly too uptight and no sense of humor – however, no people more uptight about everything and anything easily OFFENDED (and think anyone gives a damn, we have 1A Rights, they have NO RIGHT to not see/hear what OFFENDS their delicate weak SNOWFLAKE sensibilities) than modern LEFTARDS.

In fact, speaking of Church Lady, thought I’d add my 2 fave Christian movies of all time are RISEN (obviously NOT the Sci-Fi one with same name, very serious and very well done of Christ Resurrection through eyes of a Roman Soldier) and THE RESURRECTION OF GAVIN STONE which is a Comedy (with some great underlying messaging, but of course many get UPTIGHT cuz it dare say “Resurrection” about someone other than Christ (which is a figurative transformation, NOT LITERAL Resurrection) as we CAN, COULD, SHOULD, be able to Laugh and still be SERIOUS about our Faith)!

Anyway, went off-track, back to about SATURDAY NIGHT movie… Also, not to be confused with SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. LOL, see what I did there?!?! Again, people need LIGHTEN THE HECK UP!! As for the SNL “origins” movie….

DO NOT, though, of course, despite what I’ve said here, let me dissuade you from seeing it – just want to forewarn you too might have high-expectations and therefore might have too high notions that it then lets you down too. Go in expecting little, you’ll likely enjoy it more.

VIDEO (5m 57s): BARBIE (Movie Trailer)

I would have rather re-seen BARBIE movie; as yes while there was some to Laugh about in SATURDAY NIGHT it is really a Docu-Drama NOT a Comedy film. BARBIE was at least FUNNY (Silly, Stupid, Fun, like SNL used to be (Kaufman and his Record Player just plain DUMB but yet somehow evokes Laughter – Weird, Strange, Odd, and Andy didn’t mind doing such so that we Laughed AT HIM rather than traditional “Joke telling” you hope/want People Laughing WITH YOU)) and indeed despite those who didn’t see that Film constantly attacking it about being ALL WOKE it was really a fairly even-handed Fun at all’s expense. My favorite line from the All Male Boardroom guys about the Barbie Co (poking fun at MATTEL) “We’re a Feminist Company, we have a Woman Janitor!”

If BARBIE were an ALL WOKE film they would have never, EVER, had Pregnant Barbie (aka: Family Values Barbie) and through the Credits BABY IN THE WOMB somewhat PRO-LIFE messaging that The Left WAS NOT HAPPY WITH/ABOUT. For more humor throughout for Adults to grasp while Young Girls just there cuz they own Barbie-Dolls and majority of the humor just goes over their Heads (plus, it’s not Animated therefore less attention-keeping for Kids who can at least be kept fascinated by the ever-moving/changing animations).

Also like while I felt, still do, the AVERAGE JOE movie that came out about the Football Coach Fired for taking a Knee and Praying at Center-Field and took his Case all way to SCOTUS and won, a very important film for folks to see (Thankfully, that was in Theaters before Election) – I gave it a C- mark. Same reason, it’s quasi Self-Narration through-out much of the film made it a bit “Odd” and just not the regular/standard Drama format I was expecting. So, not a “bad” film just “different” from presentation I was expecting so it threw me and effected my enjoyment level of the movie.

For the LEFTARDS that think they can SILENCE OTHERS and yet at same time ORDER PEOPLE TO ENGAGE IN COMPELLED SPEECH (both, FALSE)… Let’s look at the “Yelling Fire in a Theater false-paradigm!”
