In A Republic: When The Elections Are Over, Our Job Begins

Commentary by: Roger Landry (TLB)

Anyone who has not been hiding under a rock knows that Washington is corrupt, complicit … bought, and that if not held accountable, those we send to represent us will only accomplish what suits them, their parties, or the puppet masters interests.

In a Republic

In a Republic it is the people who are supposed to hold the power NOT the government, so it is the responsibility of We The People … our JOB and our DUTY … to hold our elected representatives accountable for their actions, accomplishments, or their failures.

In any republic throughout history it has been proven over and over again that any government who is not held accountable through the ignorance or apathy of its people, will gather and concentrate power, influence and wealth unto themselves, in-spite and irrespective of their mandate to serve those who elect them.

I will not tell you that there are none (especially some newly elected representatives) who go to Washington pure of heart and motive, intent on fulfilling their promises and mandates (although this is a very rare bird) … What I will tell you though is that they don’t stand a snowballs chance in hell of accomplishing this if left to their own devices.

Power and Influence

The power structure in our capitol is set up to ensure loyalty to the party. NOT the people. All that they will need and are offered in the way of indoctrination and support, is geared to bringing and keeping them in line with the firmly entrenched power structure. This structure has developed over the last two centuries plus, into a system that has a stranglehold on our elected servants. If they wish to accomplish anything albeit their own agenda or that of the parties, they must prove their loyalty and usefulness to said party.

If you wish to have a voice in Congress, you need the help and favor of the party. If you wish to participate in, or chair a committee, you need the help and favor of the party. If you wish to sponsor a bill, you need the help and favor of the party and on and on … The party power structure holds the purse strings, the power of appointment and to a large degree the effectiveness or obscurity of its congressional members even to the point of reelection!

It’s Your Duty

The ball was always supposed to be in our (We The People) court. So make it a point to know your elected representatives actions, their voting record. Stay in touch with them and hold them to their promises and mandates. Keep them on the path we, the people they serve, have plotted …

OR RECALL THEM!

Or go back to sleep and stop complaining because one of the biggest reasons for the failures in this country today IS the failure of We The People to participate in the governing of this country, or simply put, to hold our servants accountable.

Americans by historical example, are the most disconnected society when it comes to the mechanics of their government on this planet. This is a fatal flaw that has eventually resulted in the ruination of every republic throughout history.

What you will see here is a video presenting a well stated explanation of the trials, pitfalls and influences a newly elected (and even seasoned) Congressional Representative or Senator must endure and overcome, proving unequivocally that without the participation of We The People … our wants and needs will be cast aside, ignored or perverted by the agenda and overwhelming influence of the party and Washington power structure. Please watch and take note because …

THIS IS OUR JOB !!!

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
