Nikki Haley: “It’s Not That Israel Needs America, America Needs Israel”
Nikki Haley’s most spirited moment during the 2024 Republican presidential primary debate on Wednesday was when she went on a tirade in defense of US aid to Israel by claiming Israel doesn’t need America but “America needs Israel.”
After screaming at Vivek Ramaswamy for wanting “to go and defund Israel,” Haley said: “You want to cut the aid off! Let me tell you, it’s not that Israel needs America, America needs Israel!”

America’s GDP in 2021 was $23.23 trillion versus Israel’s GPD of $488.5 billion. The US gives Israel billions of dollars a year which Israel regularly uses to buy US treasuries — effectively lending us back our own aid money and charging us interest. According to the US Treasury’s latest numbers, they currently hold $46 billion in US treasuries.

Despite Netanyahu lobbying our Congress to start the war in Iraq, Netanyahu didn’t send a single troop to help in the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003.
Though Haley claimed America “needs” Israel to help fight Iran, Israeli officials have stated time and time again for years that they want the US to fight Israel’s war with Iran.

After Israeli intelligence officials convinced the US to assassinate Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani by falsely painting him as an “immediate threat,” Netanyahu told his defense chiefs to keep Israel out out of a US war with Iran.

In 2021, Israeli government officials were implicated in the plot to extort Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz and his wealthy father of $25 million.
Politico reported in 2019 that Israel was caught spying on the White House and Congresswith expensive stingray devices placed in sensitive locations throughout DC.
The news was brushed off by Congress and the White House, who overwhelmingly approved sending Israel another $40 billion in U.S. aid a year later.
According to Nikki Haley, America desperately “needs” this completely one-sided relationship which has led to war after war, created endless enemies and destroyed our relationships in the Middle East.
